About Belmont Village Senior Living West University

Belmont Village West University is Belmont Village's original community, located in the heart of one of Houston's most established residential neighborhoods, the West University area. The community offers Assisted Living and Memory Care, with advanced levels of care licensed throughout the property so residents can receive increasing support without needing to move, and couples with differing needs can age in place together.

Assisted Living provides personalized help with daily activities while encouraging independence and engagement, with access to programs and services in a residential environment. Memory Care is offered in two forms: an early memory care program called Circle of Friends, which focuses on early intervention and structured support for residents with early to moderate memory loss, and Advanced Memory Care, which offers structured routines and specialized care in secure environments for those with more complex cognitive needs. Short-term respite stays are also available for recovery or transition periods. Licensed nurses are on-site 24/7, supported by clinical teams providing medication management and physician coordination, along with on-site physical, speech and occupational therapy services.

The community follows a Whole Brain Fitness philosophy integrating physical activity, cognitive stimulation and social connection through exercise classes, educational discussions and shared experiences. Through a partnership with Rice University, residents can take part in Lifelong Learning University, offering virtual college-level courses taught by faculty and subject-matter experts on topics from science and history to art and culture.

Dining is provided in Josephine's Kitchen, where a dedicated chef and staff serve restaurant-style meals with a robust menu and daily specials, with local sourcing when possible. A more casual Bistro offers coffee, lighter fare and grab-and-go selections. Other amenities include a heated pool for exercise classes, physical therapy or relaxation, on-site personal care and salon services, free scheduled transportation for appointments and outings, regular housekeeping, and 24/7 virtual access to urgent care telemedicine. The community also accommodates residents with small pets and companion animals.

Located in Houston's West University area, the community offers convenient access to dining, shopping and entertainment, nearby parks and cultural attractions, proximity to the Texas Medical Center, and numerous churches and synagogues.

The staff is always exceptionally friendly to me as a visitor and very caring and kind to the friend I visit. My friend is happy at Belmont Village I can’t say enough good things about the food and the staff. Well my friend has gone downhill since this last review but the staff is really showing their compassion now. I never cease to amazed at their kindness and patience.

We visited Belmont Senior Living of West University and spoke with Community Relations Manager, Lexi Hicks. We were impressed with the level of staff engagement and energy, both with residents and among other staff. The programs are very tailored to the needs of each individual resident, which helps give you assurance that your loved one will be given the care and attention they deserve. The outdoor spaces, including walking paths, grassy areas, and various seating areas, were a bonus when compared to others we visited. Lexi was candid and thorough as she explained how Belmont works, from care levels to dining to the daily routine. All VERY helpful! Thanks for the time and attention that contributed to a positive impression!

Do not trust this company. They do not care about their residents, and they care even less about their staff.

The Belmont staff have been extremely helpful & accommodating in meeting our needs for my Mom & her grandson. Their assistance in helping her & her grandson make a move was more than we could expect. They were there for us every step in the process and worked beyond and above what was required. This recent move has been a blessing to both my mom and my nephew. Thank you Belmont for making this move happen for the both of them. It was an A+ transition and would not have happened without your generosity of time, talent and kindness during this process!
