My mother has severe dementia and was lucky enough to receive respite care from BEEWELL LIVING a licensed adult family home for 2 weeks. This house provides 2 shared rooms and 1 single room. They have one shared bathroom for the clients. This is a lovely, safe and controlled setting for my mom who needs 24/7 care and supervision. Diana (RN) and Cristian (CNA) are the lovely couple who have opened this facility and provide such an essential service to our community. They are extremely communicative and transparent in what is happening with the day. They are conscientious and rigorous in following all the rules for running this assisted living facility. they were really hands on 24/7 in helping my mom from monitoring her sleep patterns, bathroom patterns, hygiene and medications. they also do so much in terms of behavior - interacting with my mom in a respectful and kind manner. my mom doesn't make any sense and isn't the kindest person but diana and cristian maintained respectful and kind interactions which allowed my mom to eventually calm down and feel secure. they also provided numerous meals, snacks and hydration throughout the day. they even tried to provide some culturally sensitive meal items (like korean pickles or my korean mom). i appreciate that Diana and Cristian are young and energetic. i worried about lack of experience but they also have extremely good people instincts for dealing with their clientele. they have been trying to be very flexible to accommodate my family. there might come a time when their house is full and there will be more limits on how they can serve each client. but for now, when they have time and availability our family has been fortunate with their offer of flexibility. our family has a very complicated and drama filled situation that has not been easy to contend with. Diana and Cristian have been so generous with their time and energy, trying to accommodate our family and our complicated needs. if they can deal with my complicated mom with such grace, kindness and generosity, i imagine they can provide a great service to other members of the community who need these services. i have so much to say about BeeWell Living and yet so much i am having difficulty expressing my gratitude in a comprehesive manner. i cannot thank diana and cristian enough for these last 2 weeks.
