I want to express my sincerest gratitude to Alicia, the Director of Bayside Healthcare Center! Admitting our mother, Gail, to a nursing home was an incredibly difficult and emotional process for our entire family! What meant the most to me, was the day of our arrival, everyone was literally waiting at the front entrance for us! We were all greeted with a hug from Alicia, and everyone had smiles as they greeted us! This made us all feel so welcome! They escorted us to our mom to her new room, sat her down and Alicia brought her a cup of coffee. Alicia, answered all of our questions and helped to settle my mom in, with her tv set up and turned to her favorite Western channel. We then received a private tour from Alicia around the facility, making sure mom knew where the dinning room was etc. We highly recommend Bayside to any family and we are grateful to have found a place where the leadership truly cares, and we thank Alicia for everything! My Mother was there for only a week for Respite Care while I was on vacation. She informed me she was not given her Morning Meds until noon so that pushed the other meds back later, a couple of nights she did not receive bedtime meds because she had fallen asleep. She also had not been given her Insulin. In the second day she told me she had not had a shower or bathed. I called and was informed the Residents only receive a shower 3 times a week unless they request every day, so I requested. My Mother received little to no attention from staff good thing she was able to care somewhat for herself and I had friends to go over to check on her. A couple of days later I was I formed that she had run out of meds which was impossible because her meds come prepackaged by the sheet weekly and separated by times I dropped her off on Sunday and gave them a full sheet covering Sunday through Sunday plus an extra row for the following Monday I picked her up Sunday morning they preceded to tell me she was out of meds and we went back and forth until we left with no meds. Two hours later a Nurse called saying she had found my Mom’s meds on another residents tray when discharging her and if I wanted the meds to return back to pick them up, how negligent is that the bubble sheets has my Mother’s name and picture on it and every bubble has her name . Upon receiving the sheet of Meds, this is Sunday morning I noticed that Thursday morning and afternoon meds were still in the bubble why, Sunday and Monday’s afternoon meds were missing from the pack I asked why and where are they, the Nurse could not answer nor could they find my Mom’s 2 Trulicity Insulin pens that should’ve been administered Monday but wasn’t. Would not recommend.

My grandma done been to 3 different nursing homes on the west bank area and when I say she loves this location! She loves it! Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming they became family literally in such a sort amount of time! Highly recommended

This place needs to be shut down. My father went in for a 2 week rehabilitation on a broken hip. In less than 2 weeks he was dead. Everyday my mom called, they stayed he was fine until she refuse to sign papers to have him committed to their facility. The day after she refused, they stop answering her calls. The following day after that, they told her they may have to send him back to the hospital. My mom requested they send him back immediately and within 10 minutes of arriving to the hospital, he was dead. Do not send your love ones here.

Grandfather was there for 15 months he never complained and loved the food.The nursing staff there was wonderful with him and us. He even made several new friends. The physical therapy dept. was awesome. They even have a wonderful activity dept. My family and I really appreciated the attention given to our love one.
