About BayCare HomeCare Corporate Office

BayCare HomeCare is a home health and hospice provider based in Largo, Florida. The organization serves patients needing in-home medical care, equipment management, and rehabilitation services.

Families report notably mixed experiences. Those satisfied highlight responsive scheduling, attentive nurses and physical therapists who treat patients with dignity, and reliability over long periods. One family noted the company "immediately got me in the system and on the schedule" when another provider couldn't meet their needs. However, concerns surface around billing practices—one family questioned whether nurse visit requirements were medically necessary or driven by insurance billing rather than patient need. Staff consistency appears variable; some families praise individual caregivers warmly while others report inconsistent quality among annual visit personnel.

BayCare HomeCare holds a 4.3 out of 5 rating across 1,448 Google reviews, reflecting this broad range of experiences from strong satisfaction to frustration with care coordination and billing transparency.

My Physical therapist was Valerie. She was exceptional 👏 She was kind, considerate and gentle. She helped me regain function. Treating me with dignity and respect. She is AMAZING and I am a nurse working in primary care at the VA. For me to say this takes a great deal.

I have used BayCare for my CPAP machine for close to ten years. They have always provided me with great service. Recently I was in need of Home Healthcare. Due to doctor referral a different provider came to my home and was working with me. They weren’t able to provide me with the services I needed. I went to BayCare and they immediately got me in the system and on the schedule. Once the doctor sent the order, they were in my home within the week. The nurse that came out was so nice and did a great job. They have several people that service our area and they are able to provide with in home services just as I need.

I received great care at St. Anthony's Hospital Surgical Department yesterday! My nurse was Dianne. She was the BEST! If she is your nurse, you are in good hands! She went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed. She kept me updated about the delays in starting the scheduled procedure, and calmed all of my anxieties about having surgery. I truly did not experience anything less than stellar care. That is why I choose St. Anthony's Hospital!

Not surprising that this home care company is despised. My partner used them for years—once switching from a port to a hickman we no longer needed weekly services and this was totally fine with Baycare Home Care—up until a month ago and now nurse visits are “required” for my partner to continue getting her meds. Why, when she is completely independent? I can only assume so insurance can be charged more. Why, may you ask, does my partner not want constant nurse visits? Well she is immune compromised so each one represents another germ vector. Also, while a number are very good at their jobs, there are also quite a few with no concept of proper sterile protocol. Now, after a hospitalization, Home Care refuses to schedule a one off visit to ensure she can be discharged. Not surprising given the lack of intelligence and empathy the office typically shows. Cannot wait to talk to insurance about how terrible this home care company is (sadly the associated pharmacy is fantastic—we may need to leave them as well and seek service with a different corporation capable of properly handling independent, chronically ill patients. Also looking forward to blasting them at any chance I get.
