Where to begin...? This is the best senior facility I visited on behalf of my parents. The lodgings are superb, the food is high-end restaurant quality, and the number of voluntary social engagements are second-to-none. The staff is very polite, pleasant and will bend backward to accomodate not only the needs of the residents but their loved ones as well. I have also had reason (recently and unfortunately for our family) to work with the nursing and special care groups and I couldn't have asked for more professional staff. Too bad Goggle only allows for five stars....

Waa told the staff are mean and aggressive to seniors that got dementia and are basically in a secure area. They cuss and treat the elders there very mean and disrespectful. Other areas they treat them better because it is more open and where they can be seen.

My mother has been living at Baxter since 2022. She started in the assisted living side and is now in memory care. The management and caregiving staff have supported her every step of the way. It feels less like a facility and more like a community where residents have the opportunity to get involved and support each other. I was recently at a party in memory care and there were some volunteer residents from the assisted living side who were there to help out. I think the management has done a beautiful job of fostering that kind of caring, supportive environment.

Baxter Senior Living is a wonderful place to live! The staff are hard working, friendly, and really seem to care about the residents they work with. Having experience at another Anchorage senior living facility, I can tell you that Baxter is a community-- not an institution. Thank you to General Manager Travis and his team for making (and keeping) Baxter Senior Living a gem for senior care in East Anchorage!
