Barton House exceeds what any other care facilities provide. It’s not only the amazing care my mother receives, they go above and beyond. From blow drying and braiding hair, trimming nails and stray hairs, to random hugs and constant smiles. This place is special and the staff is amazing. We are very fortunate we found you.
Barton House Memory Care is truly something special. You can feel immediately that the staff doesn’t just talk about great care, they live it every day. I’ve seen what “standard” care looks like, and while it can be excellent, what sets Barton House apart is the human side. Every resident is genuinely seen, valued, and celebrated. There’s nowhere else I would trust my loved ones.
Special shoutout to Betsy! She is a radiant light in this community, and the energy and compassion she brings are unmatched.
We moved my mother to Barton House about 6 months ago and feel like we have found a permanent home. This is a memory care facility, which means they provide specific care for people with memory problems. They have a structured daily routine, consistent schedules, activities that stimulate memory and cognition, a plan that prevents residents from wandering off or getting lost, and a layout designed to help residents feel safe in a calm, supportive environment.
The kitchen staff is amazing, planning and preparing delicious and nutritious meals four times a day~breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. My mother finally enjoys eating again!
Every staff member~the nurses, med techs, and caregivers~are trained to provide specialized care for each and every resident. Everyone works together in perfect sync and when you visit Barton House, you see how it all just flows. Monique is the administrator who makes all these wonderful things happen.
Families are always welcome to come and visit, spend time with their loved one, and enjoy activities and programs together. Family members get to know each other and provide support to one another. This special place is truly a family!
I came to Barton House three weeks ago to rehabilitate after a hospital stay. I feel so blessed that my family chose such a lovely setting for me to recuperate. The grounds are beautiful and look out on a lake where residents and their families can enjoy nature in a peaceful and quiet setting. It’s the people inside who deserve all the praise. From the owner to the manager to the amazing caregivers, you won’t find a finer, more caring and experienced group of people to take care of your loved one.
I have been in many senior living communities with my own parents before their passing and I wish I had known about Barton House. The owner, Aftab Ghesani, has created an oasis of calm and caring in the heart of Sugar Land. Administrator Monique Edwards runs a well oiled machine where the staff, who have been together for some time, work seamlessly to ensure that not only are the residents’ needs being met, but that they are comfortable, calm, and safe.
Chefs Tamika and Sophia are creative with their menus and provide nutritious and tasty meals, which is so important to senior citizens. “Ms. P”, the Program Director and her Assistant Ms. Debbie (who can make the crankiest old fart smile if not burst out laughing) keep the residents engaged physically and mentally with a variety of creative, entertaining, and fun activities throughout the day. The nurses (like Lillian, my favorite) are gentle and caring, and attend to each resident’s changing needs. They work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, med techs, caregivers (like Areceli, Blanca, Maria and Kemi), hospice personnel, and families to provide quality care for every resident.
One of the most special things about this place is that the family members have bonded and are there to offer support and help to each other. Those who have been at this facility for a long time have helped foster a large, loving family atmosphere. Barton House is a blessed place, and if you are looking for quality care for your family member, this is the place for you!
I have been coming to Barton House Memory Care, Sugar Land, TX, for the past 3 years as an evaluating and treating physical therapist. I have closely observed the administrator, nurse manager, nurses, med tech, caregivers, the activities and other staff members provide care to the residents with love, compassion and dedication, as if they were their own family members. The administrator, who is also a licensed nurse, is directly involved in caring and meeting the needs of the residents each day.
Another thing, I like the cleanliness of the house, the beautiful and relaxing side lake and the calm and cool rooms with the personal decorations by the door.
I will be happy for my mom to receive care here if the need arises. Highly recommended!
