I would highly recommend this community to my loved ones or anyone looking for senior living, the leadership sincerely cares about every single person and it shows from the way the staff cares for them every day. Lesley Myricks is an incredible administrator and leader!

My father lived at Avista for 14 months. Avista staff provided the most excellent end-of-life care anyone could wish for. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the attention and concern that they demonstrated. The last few days of his life were nothing I would wish on anyone but his last few hours were peaceful and I was there as he took his last breath with his caregivers and it was just amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend Avista if your loved one needs care in an assisted living facility!

When my mama moved into Avista there was a resident that came to our door and told us that she had lived in 4 other assisted living facilities and that this one was the best. I believe her. My mama is happier than she has been in years. The staff truly care about her. She raves about the meals. And tells about the friends she has made. I am so grateful for this facility. Its top notch!!

We can't say enough. The staff - from the Director, medical team, care givers, maintenance team, housekeeping, the chef and front office staff all became family during my mother in laws stay at Avista. They treated us all so well and went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you to the entire team!

The entire staff at Avista Garden City made us feel right at home during my mother's stay. From the caregivers, medication techs, housekeepers, activity director, kitchen chef, executive director, resident care coordinator to everyone else, we were treated with respect and care. Everyone went above and beyond to treat our needs well and take good care of Mom in what was for us a difficult time. She enjoyed the food and the room with a nice view out onto grass and trees. Everyone was willing to go beyond a shallow, surface relationship to a deeper sort of one-on-one experience. We learned a lot about assisted living, having not ever been through this process before. Thank you Avista Garden City.
