Our family is deeply grateful to the incredible team at Avir at Park Bend in Austin for the compassionate care they provided during my father’s respite stay. Although he passed away while in their care, every staff member treated him—and our entire family—with such kindness, dignity, and respect during one of the most difficult times of our lives.

A very special thank you to the social worker, who spent so much time with our family, offering comfort, guidance, and genuine love throughout our stay. Your presence made an immeasurable difference, and we will never forget your compassion.

Thank you to everyone at Avir at Park Bend for the exceptional care you gave my father and for surrounding our family with empathy and support. We are forever grateful.

If you have another choice go with it my mom has been here 2 years I hate it and the new owners Avir it’s even worse. I am looking for a place but my mom only has Medicaid and sadly this is the best of the crappy ones they are fake during tours everyone is so nice after no one speaks the communication is terrible at best, rarely answer phones their documentation is old school written which can be changed to suit them. During the week things are pretty clean no smells go on the weekends it is terrible. I have reported them but they somehow skate by or the investigators go during the week when everyone is at their best. The only positive I will say is that there are a couple of nurses who really care but that’s it. They have care plan meetings they are a joke they agreed to things you want for your family member then do not follow through just go somewhere else if you can if not make sure you are your family members advocate. This will tell you who they are I tripped in their very dark parking lot and busted my face, blood everywhere, knocked out front teeth, made it to the door both Eddie (facility administrator)and Geri the DON were there Geri offered to call an ambulance that’s it the nurses helped me clean up as best as possible they never checked on me I hurt myself on their property pretty badly and they never checked that’s who is running the place my moms nurse did check on me later that evening.
