Austin Gardens Senior Living is a small, intimate residential care community made up of two homes—one with 5 beds and one with 7 beds—offering private suites and a large shared backyard. Rather than operating as a large institutional facility, the community is designed to feel personal and family-like, with residents known by name and cared for in a home-like setting.
Care includes 24-hour supervision and attentive, personalized assistance around the clock. The team manages medication needs, provides support for residents with mild cognitive impairment, and offers an assisted living approach that balances support with independence. Meals are home-cooked and prepared daily in the kitchen rather than served cafeteria-style.
Residents have access to hands-on activities such as gardening, which are described as providing a sense of accomplishment and well-being. The community emphasizes flexibility, with no community fees or long-term commitments required—residents can stay for as little as one month or as long as a year.
Austin Gardens allows pets, recognizing the comfort and happiness they bring to residents. The community was created by founder Raffi Sapire as an alternative to large, corporate senior housing options, aiming to provide personalized, beautifully designed, and affordable care.
