If you’re at a hospital and they are recommending inpatient physical and occupational therapy, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS FACILITY. I personally wouldn’t even do outpatient here just because how horrible my experience was here. Especially if you have FND, adrenal insufficiency, and seizures. Absolutely HORRIFIC experience here. Didn’t even make it 25 minutes before having to be transported back to the hospital. The nighttime supervisor was a really mean individual who has no bedside manner and really should consider a different profession. Maybe a correctional officer, a warden, something that would fit her personality more. She is 1000% in this field for the $ because patient care was not her forte. idk. In her mind I guess she tried to “apologize” for damage control cause she knew she was rude and wrong, but that didn’t happen until after I had another seizure in the lobby trying to leave the facility bc I was so scared at that point, but she actually never said sorry, only the lady at the front desk did, she just said “this is just how she is, and this is just the way she talks.” She took zero accountability for the way she spoke to me and my husband. I have seizures and have them up to 12 times a day. I take several different medications and had three seizures while waiting for someone to check me in or whatever the process was. I was told I would have no access to any medication for the entire night by this lady after she yelled at me after coming out of a seizure saying “how was it even possible to have 3 seizures, you’ve only been here for 10 minutes” which was not true. It took me almost 15 minutes just to get into the facility. Staff failed to let my roommate know I was moving in, my roommate scared me, I scared her. She was freaking out and standing over me for 10 minutes asking why I was there, who I was, etc. I was told I was going to have a private room due to my seizures, and was taken back when I had a shared room (not a huge deal) I would have managed. But No one showed me to my room or introduced themselves. They just pointed down the hall and said the room number. I waited over 20 minutes in this room with what appeared to be dirty blankets on the bed so I wasn’t even sure I was in the correct room. In the meantime of waiting my roommate came back and started freaking out saying this was her room she didn’t know me, and proceeded to stand over my bed for the next 10 minutes. Then out of nowhere that’s when The “supervisor” came in with a nasty loud tone asking what was wrong with me over and over again (I couldn’t talk right, just came out of a seizure) because my mom called after I had my seizure to let them know as no one had introduced themselves or explained the check in process. Once I realized this woman was the supervisor I wanted to leave immediately. I did not feel safe at all. She only showed “concern” when I had the seizure in the lobby. That’s when she came out and pretended to care and give her “apology” saying I read your chart now in understand better and you need to stay. It was purely damage control and not authentic. She called my roommate a “wanderer” which I really thought was insensitive and rude for her to call her that. I honestly feel bad for those people stuck in there under her supervision and I also feel bad for the staff who was clearly embarrassed by her actions. No human being should be treated like that. She needs help, and you all should be ashamed to have someone in that position who treats patients like that.
