POOR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT!

My family and I are highly disappointed with The Avenues at Wooster. My elder mother (89) of Wooster was a shirt term resident there a few years ago and we chose The Avenue due to their exceptional physical therapy. They really did awesome helping her get back on her feet after a hip surgery and back home.

More recently, she had a slip and fell back against the sink causing 2 fractures to her pelvis. After initial treatment at Wooster Community Hospital, we hoped to get my mother in at The Avenues at Wooster. My sister and I, including my elderly mother have made countless calls where we were transferred to a Chad, who is the Admissions Director. We were told he was out, in meeting, and left countless messages. We have yet to receive one call back. We don't even know if they had an opening, would accept my mother's long term care insurance or any due to no call backs.

As a business owner, if I had an employee or a "Director" like this Chad, he would be looking for new employment. After the exceptional care and service we got in the past to this poor business management, we are beyond disappointed!

We did get my mother into another facility and it was further, and she will be returning home tomorrow, it's beyond sad as there is not a lot of nursing and assisted living facilities is Wooster. West View Manner has went do hill and now so has The Avenues at Wooster.

So if you had a senior or elderly loved one in Wooster and you are considering care at The Avenues or West View Manner, we hope you get better service than we did. We will definitely consider other options in the future due to Chad's poor business practices and management skills!

My husband was just discharged from this facility. We will not be returning. He fell due to staff negligence of not ensuring that his bed wheels were locked. I was told of the fall by my husband the next morning. No call from staff. I called them the following day to learn that his fall hadn't even been documented! No head to toe assessment was done following admission. Vitals monitored only once daily during first week. This is their effort at 'skilled nursing '.
