I spent 3 1/2 weeks here for rehabilitation. My day nurse (LaShay) and CNAs were amazing. Your meds were on time and if you asked for something, there was a wait, but not long. Not once during that time, did I hear one of the staff yell at a patient, be firm yes, but never yell. They cleaned every morning and night so you didn't have the horrible smell that most of those places have. They seemed to keep the patients clean. Night time staff was not the best, but still not mean. I had Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy and they were fantastic. So helpful and extremely kind. By the second week, I was doing my own laundry and showering myself. Every Fri, they had games like hitting balloons across the table at each other, and walker and wheelchair races. A lot of laughing went on. Now the food left a lot to be desired. The breakfast was always good, but lunch and dinner not so much. There were a few that were good, but If it wasn't salt or pepper, they didn't use anything for flavor. But, if you didn't like what they served, you could choose a couple of other things. Plus I didn't go there for the food. They needed to let newcomers know what was going on. I did not know you could have a money put aside for different thing. Didn't know there was a hair dresser who came in weekly or you could buy snacks out of vending machines, or do Walmart and ther shopping to be delivered or just sit outside and get air. Every Friday was bingo and every day they had something going on. If I had to go to rehab again, I'd choose Autum Care of Marshville. Great place
