Apara Autism Center in San Antonio, Texas provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism. The center offers both center-based and in-home ABA services, with individualized treatment plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) based on initial and ongoing assessments.
The center delivers clinical outcomes and life skills training in a supportive, compassionate, and collaborative environment. Services include traditional ABA practices along with toileting, community, and parent training, and can provide support in feeding therapy. The center does not offer occupational or speech therapy but partners with outside providers to offer integrated access to those services. Therapy hours are individualized, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week based on the child's current skills and needs, as determined after a clinician assessment.
Located at 1922 Dry Creek Way in the northern part of San Antonio near Stone Oak Park, the center is easily accessible from Loop 1604 and Highway 281. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time and currently has no waitlist. Once assessment is complete and insurance authorization is received, children can begin their program immediately.
Apara accepts most commercial insurance and Marketplace plans and is credentialed with Medicaid. The center offers courtesy verification of benefits as part of the intake process. Clinicians work with families to determine whether center-based care, which offers structured peer socialization and school preparation, or in-home therapy, which focuses on mastering daily routines in a natural setting, is best suited for each child.
