Ridiculously expensive, smells horrible. It seemed nice at first. They sell you a dream. They show you where your loved one on hospice would be, roomwise. You are happy because your mother is oxygen dependent, and they're going to have her in a room right by the nurses station! Then you go visit, and..... your mom's room is at the end of the hall in a blazing hot room in July. She couldn't walk. She couldn't remember instructions as she was developing dementia, and all nursing homes I experienced like to put the nurse call buttons right out of reach. We got a call one day that her oxygen had dropped to the 70s and she was sent to the hospital. Per the nursing home, one of the aides may have jostled her oxygen tube out of her nose and didn't notice. They only knew she was that low when the main nurse went in there and checked her oxygen. They didn't send her glasses with her, etc. So since an aide knocked her oxygen off, she was not receiving oxygen to her brain. It made the process of her going downhill, happen A LOT faster than it even should of. As you see, it says Aspire. That's the random corporation that purchased that nursing home. So a multi-million dollar corporation purchases the place, raises prices, and it still stinks and everything is still outdated and retention isn't better because they have random nurses they get to come work on contracts. Yes, at all of the nursing homes. So I don't know, stay away. They're about to have that data center anyway so their water will not be looking so hot.

I was the caretaker for my brother-in-law and he was exceptionally well cared for at Aspire SLC New Florence, MO. The facility is well run, clean, no urine smell(!) and , most importantly, run by compassionate and friendly people. Sine I lived an hour away, it was imperative he was tended to by a staff of this caliber. He was always clean when I would visit and he LOVED the food! I highly recommend this facility and the wonderful people who run it as if their own parents were there! Special thanks to Lauren Hill who went over and above to help make John’s final days comfortable.
