Terrible place. Warning!!! if you loved your loved ones do not bring them here! They will not get the care they deserve. The rooms are a disaster. Staff is completely overworked especially on the weekends. Management will never respond appropriately. CNA’s will leave residents sitting in their own urine for hours at a time. Dietary needs are not met appropriately I had to transfer my great grandma because she fell because staff is never around!!

My Mom was in rehab there. I am basing this review on her comments. I personally would rate them better by 0.75 stars. First, the food is instituinal fare, bland, unseasoned and generally overcooked. Second, 90% of the staff are kind, caring and wonderfully helpful. The other 10% make the place a nightmare. Last, the staffing is lower than needed for the beds available. The call light wait time averages 10-12 minutes which for a skilled nursing rehab is problematic.

My dad had a quintuple heart bypass and after 7 days at the hospital was put in Aspen Meadows for rehab. Mind you he is a severe diabetic and even the hospital was having problems with his levels and he is on more than 10 meds. He needed help walking and at the hospital was doing 3 times a day physical therapy. He gets to Aspen, he is put in a dirty room with a difficult roommate who was up all night and loud and obnoxious. The were only set up to do PT 3 times a WEEK for 39 minutes and was not allowed to walk by himself. When my parents tried to complain they were told they were free to leave but that he would not be allowed to take his meds. Finally after 4 days of hell they moved him. But he never got any care. Shame on you and your disgusting care and behavior.

This place shouldn’t just rethink how it operates — it should close its doors. My stepdad was sent here for rehab after open-heart surgery, and what we witnessed was nothing short of disgraceful. They put a recovering heart patient into a cramped room with a roommate who was loud, rude, and constantly demanding staff attention, even when nurses were already assisting my stepdad. The TV blasted constantly, and the facility allowed this roommate to have guests until nearly midnight with the lights on, making rest nearly impossible for someone who just survived major surgery. The very first thing his heart surgeon and cardiac floor physical therapists stressed was that movement is critical for recovery. Yet while he was here, he had to beg just to get out of bed to walk, only to be told that “only PT can walk him.” The problem? They barely took him to PT. In several days there he received one shower. His bedsheets weren’t changed for four days. Meals were awful and offered no choices, with the lone exception being a halfway decent meatloaf. That’s not care — that’s neglect wrapped in a tray. When concerns were raised with management while discussing discharge, we were told he wouldn’t be released until the facility decided he had “improved.” Yet in the same breath they admitted they couldn’t legally hold him — but threatened that if he left, he wouldn’t get his medications. That kind of intimidation is beyond unacceptable. The entire building feels old, neglected, and run down, and leaving a vulnerable patient there felt like abandoning him in a place that has forgotten what dignity looks like. If hell had a waiting room on Earth, this place would qualify. And frankly, the person running this facility should be required to spend two weeks living in one of those rooms, eating that food, and experiencing that “care.” It might be the only way they’d understand what patients here are actually enduring.

My Mom went to Aspen Meadows for rehab. The facility is clean. The entire staff are excellent caring people. Anytime Mom needed help they promptly answered her call button. They offer 3 nice meals a day or you can substitute from the provided list. The PT & OT got her stronger so she could return home. We were both very happy with this facility.
