I had read the reviews. About this place, I wasn't sure if I wanted my wife-to-be here. When we got here, they did have her medication. But it was medication that was going to knock her out, oxycontin. which was okay for a little bit. because she was in pain. But I talked to the doctor and they changed it to narcos, 5 mg every 4 hours, which was fine now. She's able to eat and talk, and everybody here has been really, really great. From the cleaning people all the way up to the doctors, the nurses, her caregivers. I have no issues with this place at all. But sometimes you need to be around. So you can see what's going on. they'll did take care of it. Which was really great. I was really pleased because the guy Andrew came up and asked me if everything was okay and what I was concerned about . he made sure it was taken care of. And of course, it's going to be noisy. That's in every place because you got people taking different kinds of medication. But overall, I'm glad she's here. I can go home at night. Not having to worry. The lady Maria that I have during the day taking care of my wife. She's been so great the caregivers that I have. I don't remember the other lady's names, but they all been great, especially Maria.

My mother was recently admitted to Asistencia Villa. I would say overall care was amazing and everyone was nice, but there has been a few instances which made it questionable at first. I gave it time and my mother loved it here and even, wanted to stay due to her “friends” which were just the CNA’s that would talk with her. I’m glad everything went smoothly and she was able to have a clean discharge.

My mother has been at this facility for almost two months. I did a lot of research prior to choosing this facility. I spoke with the medical providers from our previous facility and also obtained word of mouth recommendations from friends that live in the area that have had their loved ones at Asistencia Villa as well as did a tour of Asistencia Villa prior to moving my mom here. So far there have only been two issues that have occurred but they were addressed immediately and they have not occurred again. I have recently read many negative reviews online and know that each individuals experience is different. As a family member who does not live in the area but is here all day everyday, I see first hand how the facility operates on every shift and I am grateful that my mom trusts the staff to care for her and that gives me piece of mind so I can go rest at night. Regarding what many have said about their loved ones not being showered or changed, if the patient refuses the staff cannot force them to shower or be changed. That would violate patient rights. I am here all day long with my mom and in our experience my mom has been provided quality care and we appreciate the staffs hard work. Give Asistencia Villa a chance. Each patient is different and my advice is come visit your loved ones more often so you don't let one bad experience or a negative review influence your thoughts on Asistencia Villa.

This place should be shut down. The staff is completely unaware of the well being of their own patients. My grandmother was here for a few weeks and during that time she became mentally impaired due to severe dehydration which happened while she was staying at asistencia. They did nothing about it until I showed up every day demanding they do something. The staff didn’t know simple medical terms such as NPO, nothing per oral, and no one could answer the simplest of questions as to why they will still offering her food when she wasn’t supposed to. A registered nurse even admittedly forgot to give my grandma her pain medication. She also got a UTI because it takes them a hour for a CNA to come and change the patients, I timed it. They also forgot to put important medical notices above her bed. If you care about your family members please do not send them here. There is never a DR at this site, they claim the DR is on call but I have never seen one there. They couldn’t even have a DR come and see my grandma for the extreme mental impairment she suddenly suffered from. I had to advocate for her every day in order for them to finally send her to the hospital. It seems they have a habit of losing everyone’s personal belongings here as we have experienced this more than once. We got some of her belongings back but they also handed us a bag of trash items with sharps, old containers of juices and milk , a bunch of thumb tacks , random dirty basins and oxygen tubing , dirty mouth swabs. Completely unhygienic and highly unprofessional.

This place may appear nice on the outside and very well landscaped. On the inside it is very loud including noise from staff. My 90+ year old grandparent is there to heal from a broken bone. This is not an environment conducive to healing. People are blasting their TVs , roommate match up’s don’t make sense, the staff is yelling and laughing loudly while people are supposed to be resting. They also decorated for Halloween and I find it a little distasteful for people who are there to heal, feel hopeful, and find happiness during their recovery. There’s a way to do Halloween in a brighter way. For the most part the staff is friendly, which is why it gets a 2. If I could have my grandma be elsewhere I would.
