About Arcadia Rehabilitation

Arcadia Rehabilitation is a 170-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Pensacola, Florida. The community serves patients requiring post-acute rehabilitation and ongoing medical support.

Family feedback reveals significant inconsistency in care quality and responsiveness. While one family praised a nurse for showing genuine compassion and thorough patient education, multiple families reported serious concerns: long delays in nursing response to patient requests, alleged failures in medical care (including refusal of a breathing treatment during an asthma attack), and residents left unattended in hallways for extended periods. Communication breakdowns between staff and families were also frequently cited, along with concerns about missing belongings from rooms.

The facility holds a 3.4 out of 5 Google rating based on 82 reviews. The stark divide between positive and negative accounts, with most negative reviews citing safety and responsiveness issues, suggests variable care experiences depending on staff assignment and department.

There is a lot problems with communication skills The nurses take hours to respond if you are in need and some of them never show. I came for rehab which I have learning on my own . I should pushed it to stay in West Florida rehabilitacion. Some nurse didn't even care to learn that she can help others. Since that is her job . To respond they take forever or they just don't. Very sad place for rehab

This place is horrible to elderly people! My sister is in this place and they have not treated her very well, She gets out tomorrow and now the man that was suppose to transport her home came in and said he can't do it ! She can barely walk with a walker so we went out and bought a wheelchair for her but still looking for a way to get her home! They have told her three different time when she is going home and the food is awful even if you get it! They have no coffee in the morning and the same breakfast every day! I will be sure and let any of her doctors know how terrible this place is.

Arcadia has plummeted in style and warmth. There are a few nurses who have beautiful hearts and truly care about patients. All residents are left in the hallway in the middle of the hall or outside their doors. They are completely forgotten. Wouldn't it be great if there was x-mas music was playing in the hallways, any simulation would be great! Several items were stolen from her room. The dresser was broken with both handles hanging by 1 screw. There is an alarm that rings in the hallway 24/7. Thetr is not 2 chair in our room. The trays in the room are extremely cheap. There is wood coming off the walls at the entrance of her door. There is no stimulation to help these patience. 16 yrs. ago it was incredible. I had a Keurig in my room. I was fed in my room beautiful meals. Yoday the the OTs and PTs are not enthusiastic about therapy. This home is absolutely horrible. The head nurse is completely rude and unprofessional. Arcadia should be closed. Pray for them.

If I could give a 0 star I would. My mom was here for the last few weeks doing therapy for an artery bypass surgery . Today I signed her out against dr orders bc the staff almost let her die last night refusing to give her a breathing treatment while having an asthma attack. My mom literally told me she felt she was about to die . When talking to them today they stated she was having a panic attack , she’s 75 she knows the difference in the 2. They refused her medical treatment for 25 minutes before giving her a breathing treatment . The room was never cleaned only trash emptied . There were a few good staff like Corey but majority was not. I wouldn’t recommend this place to rehabilitate my dog let alone my mother .

Today I came to visit my aunt who is in Arcadia for Rehab. The nurse Antonio had brought her in her medications and was very thorough in explaining everything to her. He actually sat and spoke with her like a human and not just another patient. This brought comfort to us knowing that she is being cared for not just by a nurse but someone who shows a genuine compassion for what they do.
