The building is lovely, the staff excellent. No disappointments here, I was stopped by the engagement director Alicia who is top notch and extremely helpful, couldn't ask for anything more.

It's the staff! It's all about the people who work here. The building and amenities are new and attractive, but it's the staff that makes Arbor Terrace special. The nurses, aides, and administrators are simply outstanding.

My father, who I named the "Arbor Terrorist," is a resident. He's spirited, stubborn, and a bit old-fashioned, which I worried might make him a pariah. He also needs a lot of help, and the people who care for him are saints. Many times they've forgotten I'm on the phone, and I hear nothing but cheerful banter and genuine kindness. Staff grade - A+

Food – I was happy with it. I ate with him often, and I'd say it's on par with Bennigan's. He loves it, and there's a good variety. The people serving the meals are patient and kind. My dad only really wants two things in life—pleasant women and good food—so he's a happy man here. Grade - A

Activities – His favorite is boxing. He loves it, brags about how good he is, and scoffs at the inferiority of the other residents. There are plenty of other activities too. My favorite is the dog visits. Every Monday they take residents on outings to restaurants, grocery stores, and other places. They also bring in live musicians. Arbor Terrace does a great job making activities interactive. Grade - A+.

Cleanliness - it's brand new which helps. I've been in many homes that have that smell which this does not have. Grade - A

Unsung Hero Credits – The head nurse, Chandra, deserves special recognition. She's full of compassion, incredibly detail-oriented, and has the quiet confidence to calm my father when he goes into Beast Mode. She leads with humor and patience, and it's obvious the aides follow her example. I could write an entire review just about her.

I'd also like to recognize Jackie, Dwayne, and Bernard for the gritty, day-to-day work they do with my father; Rhonda for her incredible patience when giving medication to one very stubborn man; and last, but certainly not least, Lia, the Memory Care Director, for her kindness, dedication, and genuine care. And to everyone I didn't mention that touched my father's life, thank you.

BEYOND GRATEFUL FOR ARBOR TERRACE - THE ENTIRE STAFF - FROM MANAGEMENT and ALL STAFF TO THE CARE TEAM - EVERYONE IS FANTASTIC!

It is VERY difficult to decide to make a change such as assisted living. Unfortunately - a health diagnosis left us with an immediate problem - do we bring care into the home or do we go to assisted living. My brother and I wanted MORE for our parents - we wanted a REAL LIFE for them to live whatever time they have not exist in a home that they could no longer manage - even with all of the help we employed to handle everything. We want our parents living - doing activities, being engaged - this will enhance and extend their life,

Thankfully- Arbor Terrace was the answer, They assisted us with every step of the process, Every phone call I made - I was greeted warmly and with a "how can we help you" - we will handle that. Exactly what you need - and showed us how they would care for my parents. Over 12 weeks knowing the Arbor Terrace management and staff and over 6 weeks of my parents being there and they are still exactly the same - warm, caring, kind and considerate. Could not ask for a better place or better people - amazing team at Arbor Terrace!

Importantly - I explored other places - some were so focused on independent living that when you have to transition to assisted living it is a different wing that is old, small, dingy and like you are put in a closet - so small and depressing - others the people are very unfriendly - no one would make eye contact or respond to a hello - clearly unhappy. I did the hours/days of research in a 2 hour radius and days of touring and interviewing and hopefully I can save you time - there is literally no comparison. Arbor Terrace is friendly, active and vibrant. They have a packed schedule and you can do as much or as little as you want. Arbor Terrace wants everyone living there involved and included - it is such a happy place.

From the moment we went to Arbor Terrace - I observed the interactions of the staff and residents - very happy, collaborative and community oriented. The facility is new, very clean, light and bright - very uplifting environment which is important. The team you will meet of Lisa and Ryan are fantastic - not only did they tour you and introduce you to staff and residents - they knew every resident by name and every interaction had a smile from the resident - HUGE! They were there throughout the process to welcome you, coordinate you and help navigate each step and still do today. I CAN CALL LISA OR RYAN ANYTIME AND THEY ALWAYS TAKE MY CALL AND ALWAYS WANT TO BE UPDATED AND INVOLVED - TRULY SPOECIAL! I have to stress how accessible and responsive they are from before and after my parents have moved in - it is exactly how I thought it would be! All of the ladies at the front reception are terrific - they know all the residents and keep the place humming with deliveries, coordination and a careful eye on all residents and who is coming and going - very secure in a nonintrusive way.

The Community Director of literally everything from medical forward - Chandra is terrific. She oversees everyone and everything and somehow literally knows exactly what is going on with everyone at all times. There is such a level of care that words could never convey but it is amazing. Everyone functions as a team - if any staff member sees you carrying anything - they immediately offer to help. I could go on and on,

This is a VERY special place. We were lucky to have spot open a few weeks after we needed it. We are so grateful our parents are there and so well cared for, safe and happy. We know the worry, We know the transition and are hopeful that the significant amount of time I spent on this review for our family helps other families on this transition. Knowing where you are going and how your parents will be cared for will allow you make a great decision with Arbor Terrace. My advice - ask for Lisa or Ryan - they work as a team and you will have the same thoughtful care!
