I will get right to the point. When your loved one loses independence and must rely on staff to move them anywhere (including but not limited to their own bathroom, and the dining room), they will be at the mercy of an understaffed facility and aides who mean well but are stretched very thin timewise. My 94 yr old mother was fine for 5 years here, then began a quick decline, which left her unable to use her walker. She was confined to a wheelchair and reliant on staff at all times. Before this, we had only ONE complaint about BD Evesham: the neck pendants can go unanswered for hours nearly any time they are pressed for help. This was surprising to us from the get-go when Mom began her 5 year stay. As for when your loved one enters Hospice Care (via their in-house Serenity Hospice), take them elsewhere! I would give zero stars to them if I could. For Mom and my 3 siblings and spouses, it was a nightmare. The lack of communication is appalling. In her final weeks, at least a few of us were there most of the time, and Mom was in a lot of pain, crying out for help (very unlike her the rest of her life), but they couldn't provide much attention or proper medicated comfort at all. AT ALL. We politely begged nurses, hospice manager, aides for relief for her. Meds are not on site, so they can't make decisions on the fly, as needed. It was the saddest, most frustrating experience for us ever, and worse still, for Mom, whose suffering finally ended after about 2 weeks in the middle of the night, alone. Inexperienced aides who didn't seem to understand the signs of end-of-life were trying to force her to eat, despite her constant refusals. They meant well, I guess, but that doesn't help matters. As for lack of communication: things like hospice not knowing that she had a DNR. And the kitchen sending up solid foods when she was on a liquids-only diet. Not responding to pendant calls when it was clear she was near death. Not knowing which of us to call first when an emergency happened. Shameful. Corporate rules are in play here; everyone's hands are tied when it comes to making decisions on the spot. BEWARE, and stay present if you choose to use this facility. I wish you luck.

Travis was absolutely amazing in explaining all of the available options and making the process a seamless experience for my family. He was knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate throughout every interaction. His guidance made what could have been an overwhelming decision feel manageable and reassuring. We truly appreciate his support and highly recommend working with him.

Great facility and caring. Natalie Meier was my initial contact. She is the best! John Hunter is in a great care facility. Brookdale Evesham gives me great peace of mind for John Hunter.

I have lived at Brookdale Evesham for about 3 months in an assisted living room. The aides are great. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. It typically takes about an hour from the time a meal is ordered to the time it is served. Even then, the food isn't always prepared correctly, even when a special request is made. Oftentimes it is lukewarm at best. If I were able to opt out of eating meals in the dining room in exchange for a reduced rent payment, I would do it in a heartbeat.
