The bathroom in the front smells like mold I brought my mother night gowns with her name on them I never seen them again her air conditioning never worked all summer the nurses were great but the aids wore street clothes and I truly believe one was wearing one of my mother’s shirts that disappeared

Today I experienced the hospitality and genuine appreciation of people and caring for our elderly. Renee Hamilton was authentic and welcoming to our networking group. Thanks to Elizabeth Baldwin for setting up this fun event. The food was tasty and the company was helpful and friendly. Linda Vorves Pastor

I would be extremely shocked if there is a dietician or nutritionist employed here - my loved one is a diabetic whose blood sugars have been under control - we asked for a diabetic diet and told they dont do that- - patients given the same food regardless of their medical history - my loved ones sugar went up to 265 today - but ho ahead and keep giving him raisin cake , biscuits and cornbread instead of healthy meats and veggies Update - my loved sat in their own waste for an hour while having the call light on and has developed pressure ulcers and now a rash - avoid this place

Applewood has been good to mom. She is here for rehabilitation for a broken wrist. The building is clean and smells good. The rooms are nice with a homey feel to them. The food looks good.I do not think it is a gourmet. Mom has complained about it but honestly mom complained about my cooking too. (She is the only one!). I understand it could be difficult to cook for many different diets . But since they do have a Dialysis center, I would think they would have a menu dedicated to the types of food CKD patients need. The staff is very friendly. They always greet mom by name and smile a lot. Mom likes all the kind people Applewood has a dialysis’s center here as well. That is such a blessing to those with CKD. It is new about a year and there are kinks to be worked out. The Rehab folks are great and I think doing a great job with mom . Applewood is also located very near Beaumont hospital another plus. The parking lot is in need of better lighting esp. in the employee/back lot of the parking lots. the lots need pavement repairs. Lots of holes and bumps. They also need a sign at the entrance further from the front door. ( Going around to the back of the building.) Otherwise you miss it and end up in the front lot which if full you must turn back out Left on Van Horn to go in the lot at the far end and parking in the back or side. It is a one way.
