I'm autistic and I had inquired about enrolling into an on-campus independent apartment and it was like $4,500 a month. For the services that they offer, that's understandable. The one thing that really bugs me is that they don't offer any financial assistance or accept any type of insurance or financial assistance programs other than Social Security. Statistically, most people with disabilities and their families are middle-to-low income. They seem like a great organization, but I feel their model needs to be significantly improved and must take into consideration that people with disabilities often have limited incomes.
