So I don't post reviews often, so when I do it is either really good or really bad. As for this agency, I am picking really bad. Angels of Mercy was the Home Health Agency suggested to provide physical therapy for my mother in law after she left the rehab facility following a repaired hip fracture. Both the Occupational Therapist and the Physical Therapist were fine with the bare minimum. My mother in law was actually stronger the day she left rehab than she was before she fractured her hip. She was walking 250 feet with a walker with ease. She was significantly better than she was before her hip fracture. The Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist from Angels of Mercy were fine with her regressing to where she was before her fracture and progress. Stating she was in a wheelchair before her fall, you cannot expect more. In their short time with her--a few hours a week--they were able to ascertain that her dementia was getting worse. They used this judgement to further support their belief she could not do more than the wheelchair. They were well aware of her progress in rehab, and did not care. They were quick to reduce visit because this is as good as it gets. In my opinion Angels of Mercy are more about generating revenue than actually promoting quality of life. I would steer clear of them.
