I had Care & Comfort provide in home services for me for about 8 months or so. The 1st staff provided to me was young and very unreliable (was out half the time she was scheduled), did not know what her job was, lacked initiative and had too much going on in her personal life to be effective. The 2nd was 70 years old (no joke) and had a bad ACL! The first thing she did was complain about my stairs because I live on the 2nd floor, that is how I heard about her bad ACL. I requested a different worker... The 3rd was amazing, but she moved on from the company to greener pastures. Then I went without for a few weeks.... And the 4th and final, Christine (who has been with them for 14 years), was also amazing. But unfortunately, the scheduling person for the Augusta area, Melanie Hunt, had a habit of switching my shifts without calling me OR she would forget to call me and tell me someone has called out. I would be waiting for staff to show up and no one would be here at the scheduled time. I would have to call and find out what was going on. She also lied to her staff and told her she had TRIED to call me when she had NOT. (I do not like liars) 😡 One time for a medical appt that I had scheduled, there was supposed to be a medical check (because of COVID) 3 days prior to my appt., per Melanie....that never happened... neither did my appt... even though I had scheduled it 1 month prior. Then, when I decided to look for another agency to switch to, one that could transport me to appts reliably and hopefully be more consistant, I let her know and she dropped me, leaving me WITH NO SERVICES. You call yourselves Care & Comfort???? You should be ashamed of yourselves... It's dispicable and very malicious. How can you sleep at night? Which, she also lied about that. Said EIM had called and said they were done, but I spoke to EIM, and no one from EIM called..EIM stated Melanie called and said that Christine told her that the new company was starting next week (sure, throw your employee under the bus). Which just happened to be RIGHT after I had spoken with her. Things that make you go hmmmm. 🤔 And I KNOW my EIM worker didn't know Christine's name, that is how I know EIM is telling the truth! 🙃 *** And did anyone else notice that one of the 5 star reviews was none other than Mike Stair, the President and CEO of the company? 😂 Well, I guess you do what you can to try and get your ratings up.. *** Edited 5/2022 - Glad to see the CEO took his own 5 star review off. 😀
