Every time I visit the Wildwood Farmers Market as a patron, I hope to enjoy the day, but instead, I witness the facility and its staff harassing the good people of Wildwood and its vendors, expressing their disdain (actual word HATE) for the market and wishing it would go away. Hundreds of people come through this market and if time aloud and if need be I could compile a list of witnesses of this inferior behavior. This market celebrates Wildwood and has been in this location long before the facility existed. It supports small businesses and provides a source of revenue for the city through vendor fees. Moreover, it brings the community together to enjoy beautiful weather, music, healthy homegrown food, and much more. It serves as free advertising for this facility. Given their short tempers and erratic behavior, I question leaving them to be around or alone with my elderly loved one. If there is an issue, it should be handled professionally. Please take a video or photo of the concern and report it to the city rather than shouting or berating the good people of Wildwood.

Tish has been an absolute blessing to our family. Knowing that our mom is in her care gives us a level of comfort and peace of mind that is truly priceless.

She is kind, compassionate, patient, and incredibly nurturing. She doesn’t just meet the needs of the residents she cares for, she genuinely gets to know them as individuals and treats them with the dignity, respect, and love they deserve. It is obvious that this is much more than a job to her. She pours her heart into caring for every resident, and it shows in everything she does.

Tish goes above and beyond every single day. She pays attention to the little details that make such a big difference, anticipates needs before they become problems, and always makes sure our mom is comfortable, safe, and well cared for. She manages her residents with exceptional organization and professionalism while still making each person feel like they are her priority.

One of the qualities we appreciate most is her communication. She keeps our family informed, reaches out when there are changes or concerns, and works collaboratively with us to ensure our mom receives the best possible care. She listens, values our input, and genuinely partners with our family. That level of communication has built an incredible amount of trust.

Perhaps what stands out most is the genuine compassion she brings every day. She treats our mom as if she were a member of her own family, and that means more to us than words can express. We never question whether our mom is being cared for with kindness, patience, and respect because Tish consistently demonstrates those qualities in every interaction.

American House is fortunate to have someone like Tish on their team. She exemplifies what exceptional caregiving should look like and sets the standard for excellence. We are deeply grateful for everything she does, and we truly believe our mom’s quality of life is better because of her. Our family cannot thank her enough for the extraordinary care, dedication, and love she gives each and every day.

Choosing memory care for a loved one is an incredibly difficult and emotional decision. When we needed immediate help for our father, Katrie and her team were instrumental and incredibly supportive in securing his spot at American House in Wildwood. They helped us navigate that transition with care.

There was a period of transition with staffing in the memory care unit and the head of nursing. This was understandably a challenging time for both the facility and the residents, but any issues we encountered were handled swiftly by Sandy and Kathleen, who stepped in to bridge the gap.

We were very pleased when AJ came on board as the new Memory Care Director. She reached out to every family personally, and we saw a marked improvement on the 3rd floor almost immediately. AJ is kind, personable, and consistently responsive. She built a gentle, warm rapport with our father, and her availability was a great comfort to us.

No place is perfect, but I found American House to be a clean, caring facility. I also want to give a big shout-out to the housekeeping, laundry, and kitchen staff; they were always smiling and truly looked out for our father. While our father has since passed and is now at peace, we are grateful for the support this team provided him during his time there.
