My first experience with Hospice. Not good at all. This company doesn't communicate at all. My mother had so many different nurses that it got so frustrating. We never knew who would be arriving. We called,we complained, we asked so nicely to please communicate with us. One nurse didn't know what the others were doing. Mom went without medicine at times. Then it was always fighting with Walgreens to get her right meds. Because the nurses wouldn't order them right or they forgot or the doctor took his sweet time signing the prescription. She went without supplies because they took their time ordering stuff. Once in a while we would get a nurse that was absolutely wonderful! But she wouldn't be able to be moms nurse. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease to watch a loved one die from. You need support not this back and forth garbage. At the end mom couldn't swallow without choking. We asked for an IV or a catheter to give meds but they said no. They didn't do home Iv's or catheter that are fda approved for NC. They wanted to take her to a facility. Mom couldn't be moved. We didnt keep her at home the whole time so she could die in a facility. They refused allowing her lowest dose fentanyl patch to be increased, but told us to give her more fluids. Absolutely unexceptionable! Mom was hours away from passing and in so much pain. Then had the oddasity to say "I hope our company did your mother justice". As they were wheeling mom out of the house to the funeral home. Really!!!! How cold can you be. Please advocate for your loved one and don't use a hospice company like this one. The positive of this review was Mom's aid Chanda. She was absolutely amazing! She communicated, she showed up every day and showed so much compassion. Like momma was her own loved one. We loved Mom's aid. Mom loved her and her visits. Thank you Chanda for your care a devotion of our mom. You are valuable and an asset to that horrible company.
