When I visited the Amberwoods of Farmington for the first time, I was impressed with the warm greetings of the receptionist and the nurses, but I noticed that it was rather shorthanded. It took quite a bit of time, getting some assistance for the patients. When I walked into the dining room, the patient that I visited was just sitting there waiting to eat. I fed her and she seemed to be very happy. Is there someone who usually feed the patients if no visitors are there? Those who can't dress themselves, is there someone to help them with that as well?

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when my dad was admitted to Amberwoods of Farmington for short-term rehab. Handing off the care of someone you love is a nerve-wracking thing. But I can say without hesitation — we got incredibly lucky. The staff there are something else. Not in a rehearsed, going-through-the-motions kind of way, but genuinely warm. They knew my dad’s name, they’d stop to chat with him, and you could just tell they actually enjoyed being around him. That matters more than I can explain. The care he received was excellent. His recovery was tracked closely, things were caught and handled before we even had to ask, and we always felt like he was safe. The place itself was spotless every single time we visited — which, if you’ve ever toured facilities, you know isn’t always the case. What I personally appreciated most was how well they kept us in the loop. I never had to wonder how he was doing or chase someone down for answers. They were just… on it. And the activities genuinely surprised us. My dad came home talking about things he did there, which honestly made us laugh — in the best way. Amberwoods of Farmington gave our family peace of mind during a stressful time, and they gave my dad his strength back. We’re so grateful. If your parent or family member needs short-term rehab, don’t hesitate.

Amberwoods is a lovely, well-staffed, well-kept rehab center. My husband received good care, physical therapy, and help with anything he needed. I highly recommend Amberwoods should you or someone in your family need rehab to get back to normal life activities.

From check-in to the visit with my mom, the people are welcoming and attentive. With much experience in other facilities, Amberwoods exceeds expectations. The facility is clean, and the refurbishment is bright and attractive. Check in and check out is easily completed. The meals seem enjoyable, and its presentation is very nice. When I was there, several people came in to make sure that my mother was good and asked if we needed anything. Any request was completed in a timely and efficient manner. Thank you very much!
