Absolutely disgusted and heartbroken over the treatment my disabled mother received at this facility. My mother is legally blind, wheelchair bound, and has severe rheumatoid arthritis to the point she cannot properly use her hands or feet to care for herself independently. She also has a colostomy bag that she physically cannot manage alone. She was transferred there for CARE, yet when she first arrived nobody even came into her room for the first two hours. When she asked for help changing her colostomy bag, staff told her they “don’t do that” and handed her a large black trash bag expecting her to somehow handle it herself despite her disabilities. She called me crying, covered in feces, hungry, humiliated, and begging to leave because of how horribly she was being treated. At that point I told her not to worry, that I would call my dad to come get her and she could sign whatever paperwork she needed to leave that place. The second she signed those papers, the treatment became even worse. Staff allegedly refused to help clean her, refused to provide wipes or diapers, refused to help with supplies, and threatened to put her outside in her wheelchair covered in feces before her ride even arrived. The head nurse was extremely rude and dismissive over the phone while my disabled mother sat there helpless and humiliated. We were even told that if an ambulance transported her, her wheelchair would have to stay behind and they would not help deliver it. That is absolutely inhumane. What made it even worse was seeing her roommate sitting in a soiled diaper all day long without being turned or changed either. That tells me this is not an isolated issue but a serious problem inside this facility. I personally called this facility over 15 times trying to get help for my mother and not one person answered the phone. It was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone while my disabled mother sat there crying and covered in feces. The care my mother received here was degrading, traumatizing, and unacceptable. Families trust places like this with vulnerable loved ones, and what happened tonight should never happen to another human being. I will be contacting corporate, state agencies, and anyone else necessary because this is not over. Please do not take your parents or loved ones here. UPDATE- It’s interesting that your response changed from earlier and now says “after reviewing the file” you are willing to discuss what happened, yet I still have not received a single phone call back after leaving voicemails and providing my number multiple times. At this point, the concern being shown publicly does not match the lack of communication privately. I became so worried about my disabled mother being ignored that I had to call the police to perform a welfare check because nobody at this facility would answer the phone or return my calls. Even the police had to ask staff to provide her something to wipe herself down with. No human being deserves that kind of treatment. I truly hope Peggy’s family (my mom’s roommate) and every other family considering this facility reads these reviews carefully because what my mother experienced was heartbreaking. Maybe instead of posting public responses about “caring,” someone from your staff should actually return the calls they were given several times. I promise you this is not over. I will continue reporting this facility and escalating this situation because vulnerable patients deserve dignity, compassion, and proper care.

My mom stayed here for physical therapy after a fall and this has to be the best staff around! She loved it and really enjoyed PT and the activities they have. Staff is friendly and always ready to answer any questions. She recovered quickly and said she would go back if she ever needed to.
