Alfred Milan and Audrey Milan, MBA, BSN, RN, owners of Amada Senior Care of Memphis/DeSoto County, are a husband and wife team committed to the ideal of seniors being essential members of society and passionate in the belief that senior care should be a family endeavor. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality senior care for beloved seniors and their entire families in Shelby, Fayette, Tipton, Haywood, and Hardeman counties in Tennessee and Desoto, Tate, Tunica, and Marshall counties in Mississippi, along with other nearby communities.

Every member of the Amada Memphis/DeSoto County team has completed specialized training for in-home senior care and COVID-19 safety. Team members also possess expert knowledge in both healthcare and senior care. Audrey Milan, RN, has 14 years of experience as a nurse, including home care and hospice nursing. Audrey says, As a nurse, I have been privileged to develop personal relationships with individuals and their families while providing care throughout the duration of medical care and beyond once services are completed. 

Alfred Milan has over 25 years experience in multiple roles of healthcare service. Alfred says, It is our goal to treat every client like they are a member of our own family because we truly understand the difficult choice of choosing a caregiver to be with their loved one.

At Amada Memphis/DeSoto County, it is our goal to meet all of a senior’s care needs and to surpass their expectations with our integrity and great service. If we are providing in-home care for a senior, we go the extra mile with activities of daily living such as cooking and light housekeeping to enhance our client’s life in the most significant ways we can. This could mean reading a book to your loved one, completing a craft with your loved one, baking your loved one’s favorite cookies, or even helping your loved one keep his or her garden tidy. By adding these personal touches to the care provided, we are showing our clients that we are invested in the process of enhancing their quality of life.

We also continue to check in on clients who have moved to senior housing communities to ensure they have transitioned well.

When seniors or their loved ones begin to feel that they require more support than in-home care and assistance with basic ADLs, it may be time to consider transitioning to an assisted living community.

This is an emotional decision for everyone involved, and our goal at Amada Senior Care in Memphis is to guide families through the placement process with wisdom, empathy and competence.

For some seniors, an assisted living community, typically offering non-complex medical services, may be a good fit. Others may require a bit more support and may be better served in a nursing home or different type of care community.
