Allen Temple Gardens

Allen Temple Gardens is an affordable housing community for low-income seniors age 62 and older in Oakland, California. Owned by Allen Temple Housing Corporation III and managed by HumanGood, the community contains 50 one-bedroom apartments located close to public transportation and neighborhood amenities.

The community provides a service coordinator to help residents connect to community and medical services. Each apartment includes the support needed to enable seniors to age in place within this residential setting.

Residents are permitted to keep common household pets in their apartments, and service or assistance animals are also welcome. The community maintains pet rules to help ensure a safe and sanitary living environment, including guidelines on pet registration, waste disposal, and restraint in common areas. Assistance animal owners are not subject to standard pet rules, though they remain responsible for animal care and waste disposal in compliance with state and local health laws.

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas on the premises. Residents are required to sign a non-smoking agreement and must ensure that they and their guests smoke only in these designated locations.
