Very courteous & attentive staff the veterans nursing home is always very clean, the staff is caring and professional, and the food is very good. Everyone works hard to make sure the residents are comfortable and well taken care of. It is a welcoming place, and I appreciate the kindness and dedication shown by the staff everyday, Our veterans deserve the very best care.

The front Desk employee was very welcoming. I went to visit my aunt and ran into a gentleman that I have known since I was a child. He too is a resident there. He was so well dressed and looked very happy. The facility is rather large and I was lost for a while, but the employees were so helpful in helping me find my aunts room. I was very impressed to see so many of the residents Involved in activities. The atmosphere was very cheerful.

We had a very nice visit with our sibling Robert. Front desk was very friendly and helpful registering us as guest. She directed us to his room. We followed her direction and without any problems quickly found him. We found a table in the cafeteria where we sat and had a time to catch up on each others lives and other family members. Thanks to the friendly and caring staff that made us feel very welcomed.

Very nice facility, very clean and always have nice staff. My dad always looks clean and happy and he says they take good care of him. Doesn’t smell bad like some nursing facilities. Decorated very nice and has a nice thanksgiving luncheon today.

Since April 2024 my father-in-law has lived in 3 skilled nursing facilities including the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home. By far the care he has received @ the TSVH is the best. It is a great facility staffed with professionals who continuously provide competent, superior care.
