I’m so thankful that I was led to this Personal Care Home for my uncle. This home is a small six person home with all private rooms.The owner, Rachel, is an RN with a lot of experience of all types of residents and comorbidities. She is incredibly compassionate, always looking for the best way to care for your loved one – even thinking outside the box many times. The home is immaculate and the staff there has been with her for quite a while. Rachel’s husband, Nate is a sweetheart and their sons come in every so often and the residents love them. It feels like one big family. You will see the same caregivers there consistently. And they get to know the residents at every level (physical well-being as well as the nuances of each resident’s personalities). My uncle passed away there, and the presence of her caregivers were such a comfort (Special shout out to Maria for making him feel so special and comfortable as he was passing). Wendy and Sabi are wonderful. They work so hard and understand how to manage hard situations. I’m incredibly blessed to have had my uncle there.

I am speaking on behalf of my mother: My husband received such loving, kind and extraordinary care at Aegis. After more than two weeks in the hospital, I wasn’t sure what kind of facility would be able to offer him the care he required. The staff at Aegis are devoted to the residents. It is clear that the owner’s medical training and passion for people with dementia allowed her to give the care and attention that my husband required. She immediately picked up on his agitation upon admission and engaged him and made him comfortable and responsive. The communication I received on his health issues or my concerns were immediately addressed. They are not on the lists of residential care homes hospice representatives shared with me. Another home spoke highly of Aegis, and my conversation with the owner reduced my fears about his care. Thank you for taking care of my husband, and me and my daughter, during this difficult transition.

Finding a home for our dear Aunt was difficult, that is, until we were referred to Aegis Personal Care home. She was diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimers and we were unable to care for her at home. Aegis is by far the best possible home to care for your loved one. Nathan, Rachel and Wendy are loving, kind, thoughtful caregivers. They pay special attention to ALL of the residents AND families. The home is definitely a home away from home. I would definitely recommend Aegis to care for your loved one.

My mother came to Aegis a few years ago in the latter stages of Dementia. She stayed for a few years. This home was recommended by her gerontologist and he visited his patients here. The care they provided was incredible. Rachel is a nurse and she and the staff were not just skilled but caring. The staff was great, the food was good and my mother was very happy. Thank you, Rachel and Nathan and Wendy!

Our Mom spent the last month of her life here. She lived years with severe dementia at her home but had injured herself in a fall. Nathan and Rachel took such loving care of her and their sweet family brought smiles and laughter that we hadn't seen in years. Truly they are called to caregiving and if your loved one needs a place to be taken care of this place is perfect. The house is bright, clean and comfortable, there is 24 hour care provided, the food is so good too! This was an absolutely "rare find" for our family, and we will always remember you R and N! 🥰
