This place is awful beyond awful to be honest with you. The staff had no respect for the residents that live in this so call assistated living. 2 people to a room four people sharing a toilet facility plus they charge the person a minimum of $1400 plus whatever they get from medicadelets guess on the low side 500 a week that's 2000 so they are giving you a bed for a minimum of 3400 a month. Erin Wood who runs the program is a terrible adminatrator and can not follow a simple direction if her life depended on it. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost

Place is disgusting. I have a relative in there that ended up moving in and had bites on them. This facility tried to say this person got bed bugs from my home mind it they had the bites well before I came by. They legit pulled me in the nurses station to ask me and I felt like I was interrogated. They moved this person to do bed bug protocols to a new room. This room is an upgraded dump saying it as respectfully as I may. Ceiling as water stains, doors don’t lock. Also the pull cords in the showers don’t work. This place has so many safety violations and concerns I’m shocked they aren’t shut down. Code enforcement needs to seriously go in there and investigate. The poor folks in this facility deserve way better than this. The food is under cooked because the stove constantly breaks down and my family member got food poisoning. They tried to claim it was the flu. Also, my family member posted things within her rights in her social media without mentioning names of this facility and was asked to take it down. I feel the manager is too scared to get caught for so much going wrong in there . The front door doesn’t lock either so anyone can walk in at any time as a visitor which is scary. The staff don’t wear name tags so you can’t identify whom they are and what position they are in. The public bathroom is constantly dirty with urine all over and poop crusted all over the wall and radiators. When my relative came to visit me they legit handled them all the medication they owned for the month in a bag. Mind it they are over medicated and can’t handle that much medication. Meds were all messed up and they accused her of over using meds. If anything she underused them due to confusion. She’s on controlled substances around the clock and they refuse to refill them due to be transferred there which now she’s been in withdrawals as well. I have had to constantly go there to advocate. She needs a transfer asap as this place is unfit and unsafe for her. I have reached out to the ombudsman and other resources, unfortunately during the holidays not much can be done. This place doesn’t even deserve a one star, I would give a 0 if I could. Also they buy used furniture from goodales and other places and not new. Have they ever thought buying used could cause issues such as bed bugs and so on. They just are quick to blame and point the finger instead of taking accountability for there own actions.

I have volunteered here many times, throughout the past year, and have to say how impressed I am. They truly are a family. The staff truly care about their residents and treat them as if they were their own family. They laugh and joke together which makes it feel like home. Everything isn’t perfect, which no where is. But what I can tell you is this, if someday it comes down to one of my parents being in need…<br>Adirondack Manor will be the first place I turn too.<br>Thank you for all you do for our community!
