As a family member of a patient that was taken care of by this agency, I have to say that I'm overall not impressed at the quality of work that was provided. It felt like you were getting a mixed bag of those that cared about the job versus those who are there to just get a paycheck. I emphasized that I wanted someone who would be a companion, not someone who would just show up and be on their phone for most of the time. There was only one out of the three aides that were sent that genuinely impressed me by her work ethic. The second one spent more time on her phone than being a companion for my mom, and the third one was the worst out of them all because my family member ended up falling and needed EMS to come out to help her back up. Not only that, but when I told the agency of the fall, little concern was given towards my family member and the aide was content to leave a mess for EMS to notice instead of trying to clean it up before they came over or to try to clean my family member up as much as she could have. All in all, I could tell just how embarrassed my family member was from the ordeal and what further shocked me was that she was more or less content to have my family member sit in their own excrement instead of trying to clean that up, too. Avoid this agency like the plague. There are always far better home health agencies out there that will actually give a damn instead of being so laissez-faire when it comes to ensuring that the people they hire are skilled enough to do the job.
