With 18 distinctive, accommodating single-occupancy rooms, each with a private bath, this grand house affords our residents the privacy and comfort to which they are so accustomed. We encourage each resident to bring treasured heirlooms and mementos from home to furnish and decorate their room for a sense of familiarity and uniqueness.
Just as they would be at home, Dixon House residents can host a family holiday gathering or entertain guests in the beautifully appointed living room, charming dining room or cozy library and enjoy the freedom to do what they like. The expansive front porch and screened porches, private garden and patio are the perfect backdrop for relaxing with a good book, visiting with out-of-town family and friends or just listening to the sounds of nature.
The delectable aromas originating from the kitchen reflect the care we take in preparing three home-cooked meals - each one made with attention to personal dietary needs and served in a family-style setting. Whether taking in an afternoon walk, reading the newspaper before dinner or retiring with a cup of tea at bedtime, experience the independence of making choices, just like home.

Certified nursing staff, supervised by a registered nurse, who is always available, take the time to understand and respond to the unique needs of each resident. Residents will receive a high level of personalized care 24 hours a day with the added security of knowing professionally-trained staff are available should an emergency arise.
Working closely with families and personal physicians, we are able to develop a tailored plan of assistance and care, with a focus on keeping residents as independent as possible. Regularly scheduled assessments by our registered nurse together with bi–annual pharmacy reviews ensure each resident’s most current healthcare needs are met. With smiling faces and caring hands, all of our staff is committed to the comfort and safety of our residents as we help them navigate through life’s transitions and enhance their happiness.
We offer support to those residents who need gentle reminders and help with any activity of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and medication administration, to name a few. With over 25 years experience, our Kitchen Manager works closely with the Delegating Registered Nurse in addressing necessary changes in diet as they may occur, ensuring nutritional and tasteful meals are prepared. Our exceptional staff will go above and beyond the standard care so each resident can feel as though they are just like home. Family can enjoy peace of mind knowing the health and happiness of Mom or Dad are in excellent hands.
