Park Plaza is the premier, independent-living community for Jewish seniors. Our nonprofit mission is to provide senior residents with the modern, elegant accommodations, independence, community, and safety they deserve. Because we are operated by Northwest Home for Aged, a nonprofit 501c3 since 1943, our organization is blessed with a legacy of generous philanthropic giving. We are proud to be able to provide unmatched accommodations and services for our Jewish senior residents. In fact, our rental fees have remained the same since 2007.

RESIDENCES | FLOOR PLANS
 
Imagine yourself in a newly-refurbished, bright and airy apartment. Furnished or unfurnished studios, one- and two-bedroom units are available. Each apartment boasts a fully equipped, eat-in kitchen with oven, refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher; newly upgraded bathrooms with walk-in showers; and plenty of closet space.

All rents include weekly housekeeping, free Wi-Fi, and all utilities (except phone). Shared laundry rooms with new washers and large capacity dryers are all conveniently located.

DINING
 
Our dining offerings are not what you’d expect at a retirement community. Park Plaza is proud to offer freshly prepared, hotel-quality, culinary delights from the top Kosher caterer in Chicago. Our chefs insist on only the finest ingredients. Residents can enjoy daily meals, seven days a week. Specialty meals are also prepared onsite for all celebratory Jewish and U.S. holidays.

Park Plaza’s culinary staff aims to please all palates and preferences. They serve crisp and colorful salads, fresh vegetables, and premium meats, including: prime rib, veal, lamb chops, steaks, brisket, and salmon.

TRANSPORTATION
 
Park Plaza offers complimentary chauffeured transportation for medical visits, shopping and activities within a three-mile radius, five days a week. The drivers are our own staff, so there is no need to reserve far in advance. Residents simply sign-up on-site.

HOUSEKEEPING | MAINTENANCE
 
Park Plaza is pleased to offer free housekeeping services on a weekly basis. In addition, there are modern laundry rooms with brand new washers and large capacity dryers conveniently located near all residences.

Park Plaza will handle normal repairs and maintenance for the rental units.

ACTIVITIES
 
At Park Plaza, we believe in keeping both your mind and your body fit. You can stay active in current interests and discover new ones. There is unlimited access to our programming 365 days a year. We offer on and off-site cultural programs, engaging activities and interesting outings.

CAREGIVERS | MEDICAL | DENTAL
 
Park Plaza strives to provide an excellent experience for every resident. Our goal is your comfort and happiness. Our highly trained staff is here to make life more fun, convenient and comfortable.

We are proud of years of stellar reviews and residents enthusiastic feedback. Many of our thoughtful, attentive staff have been here for more than two decades.

Our experienced and devoted team includes housekeepers (weekly service), drivers, activity coordinators, course instructors, chefs, and more.

Park Plaza offers premier, independent living accommodations, plus an array of caregiving services on an as-needed basis. A fully-accredited, insured, and bonded healthcare agency is located on-site at Park Plaza. Staff can be hired on an as-needed basis, or for scheduled assistance such as morning and night time help, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, dental, and more. Residents may choose a few hours of assistance per day or week or none at all.

Park Plaza is ideal for couples with different physical abilities. Often, one spouse needs medical assistance while the other is more in need of a community of peers. We provide ample social interaction and independence for the partner who is interested, and additional care if the other partner needs it.

SALON
 
For a fee, Park Plaza offers an on-site salon for men and women. There is no need to travel off-site for hair and nail services. Our stylists are trained to work with seniors, and understand the unique needs they may have. Our salon is open four days a week.

SECURITY
 
We provide a safe and secure environment for all Park Plaza residents. Our security desk is monitored 24/7/365, and our staff is here to act as real time responders in the event of an emergency.

Most seniors crave a peer community. A vibrant transformation takes place here at Park Plaza when our residents find their community of new friends, and enjoy taking part in our myriad social activities and events. In fact, our residents often tell us they never knew how much they missed being so active and involved.
