Nestled in Chicago's southwest corner, Mercy Circle is only 17 miles from downtown Chicago and adjacent to suburban Evergreen Park. We are perfectly situated to provide a lifestyle offering comfort and convenience, as well as spiritual and intellectual enrichment.
Mercy Circle, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, is a community in every sense of the word: Not just a warm, welcoming place with a supportive staff, we are friends and neighbors too. We share interests, enjoy activities and hobbies, and volunteer for ministries.
We believe in respect, loving kindness and Christian values. Our chapel, where a daily liturgy is offered, as well as our meditation rooms, are always open.
If you share our approach to living, you will feel right at home at Mercy Circle.
Independent Living
At Mercy Circle, you will both cherish the freedom to come and go according to your schedule and enjoy a calendar full of events and activities, without compromising the time you wish to spend by yourself.
There is no entrance fee at Mercy Circle. Your monthly rental fee includes a spacious, bright apartment in a newly-constructed building, along with plenty of extras. As a resident, you will enjoy amenities including scheduled transportation, an exercise room and salon, gathering and game rooms and on-site banking.
Ground floor suites open onto a private patio adjacent to the landscaped garden and walking paths. Garage spaces are available for a small monthly fee. Free outdoor parking for guests and residents is conveniently located just steps from the main entrance.
We offer a one-bedroom-plus-den, a two-bedroom or a deluxe two-bedroom apartment, each with its own temperature control. All apartment floor plans have a spacious living room, full kitchen including a dishwasher, and come with a washer and dryer.
The Mercy Circle dining program provides one restaurant-quality meal each day: breakfast, lunch or dinner. Visit our Bistro for a snack or you can cook and bake in your fully-equipped kitchen. A private dining room is always available to entertain or celebrate special occasions.
Given the eye appeal of the architecture and design, the comprehensive list of services and the limited number of residences, you may feel like you are our guest in a loving home. Because, in a sense, you are.
Is it time for you to plan for the future

Memory Care
Intimate care of a loved one
Caring and kindness are constants in every Mercy Circle setting, but take on a special meaning for everyone in our memory care wing. Here, residents experience the benefits of working with our specially-trained and understanding staff. We are prepared to help with cognitive challenges on an individual basis.
Baggot Street named for the street in Dublin where Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, opened the first House of Mercy's a symbol of Mercy Circle’s legacy.
For our memory care residents, this is a place of familiarity, community and support. Through color-coded decorations, spiritual quotations and other cues we prompt and assist residents ability to maintain mental agility.
Interaction with nature in our secure garden, and nurturing birds and fish are part of a larger program that we provide to keep residents engaged and socially connected.
Just as we attend to residents physical, mental and emotional well-being, at Baggot Street every resident helps one another through inclusion and friendship.
Challenges with memory require constant renewal and re-learning, and so our residences in Baggot Street are easy-to-navigate suites, each with a full bathroom built for easy accessibility and, above all, safety.
Would your loved one flourish at Baggot Street?
