Fowler Christian Apartments (FCA) offers a variety of accessible, affordable housing options in three phases, Fowler Christian Apartments Inc. I, II, & III, all of which are HUD 202 Section 8 or PRAC apartments. As a resident, you will discover a welcoming living environment that offers choice, community, and connection through the privacy of an individual apartment.
FCA I, II, & III are unique affordable housing properties offering many different amenities including scheduled program activities such as social events, movies, guest speakers, volunteer opportunities, worship services, and scheduled transportation to doctor's appointments and grocery shopping.

FCA's apartments are designed for seniors to stay in their apartments even as their needs change. FCA offers three levels of living: Independent Living, Serviced Enriched Housing and Assisted Living.
Independent Living
FCA's Independent Living apartments has 176 residences that span four tri-level complexes. Each residence is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with a full kitchen. Each floor has spacious lounge areas and laundry facilities. In independent living, residents have the ability to arrange for their own in-home services. Rent is calculated at 30% of the resident's annual income after medical expenses are applied.
Service Enriched Housing
Service Enriched Housing Apartments (SEH) are one-bedroom ADA accessible apartments, designed specifically for persons who are frail or aged with service needs who are aging in place. These apartments are perfect for residents who want to live independently but need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as housework, taking medications as prescribed, money management, shopping, bathing, laundry, dressing, etc. These services must be facilitated through a licensed or certified third party service provider. FCA offers 24 SEH units that include a walk-in showers with grab-bars, a full kitchen, and spacious living areas.
Young & Disabled Independent Apartments
Fowler Christian Apartments has apartments* (limited number of apartments available) that are for persons 18 years of age or older with mobility disabilities. These apartments are architecturally altered and so applicants must qualify as having a medical necessity in order to apply for, or live in, these apartments. FCA's young and disabled apartments are considered part of our independent living population and so in-home services must be facilitated through a licensed or certified third party service provider.
Assisted Living
At FCA we realize that individuals may need a little more help with everyday activities such as housework, cooking, laundry, and medication management. FCA Assisted Living is designed for persons aged 18 and older or adults in need of an open-concept private apartment who require assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). FCA's assisted living program is licensed with the state of Texas and eligible applicants must be enrolled in the Texas Department of Health and Human Services Commission's Medicaid Star-PLUS Waiver Program. Residents must meet specific health guidelines in order to receive assisted living services through this Medicaid program. In our program, residents receive three meals a day in our beautiful dining room, have access to free transportation to local doctor's appointments, and activities are tailored specifically for AL residents.

Sometimes all it takes is a little help to keep things moving. At Juliette Fowler Communities, helping hands are all around when you choose Assisted Living. We offer beautiful, pet-friendly private studios and one-bedroom apartments. There's no maintenance to worry about, and all utilities are included.
Our Assisted Living team will help you throughout the day with bathing, dressing and medications, plus personal laundry and housekeeping. Fees start at $3,500 and include three meals a day in our lovely dining room.

Memory Care
Juliette Fowler Communities is proud to feature the I'm Still Here approach to Memory Care. The only dementia care program in Dallas with this certification, Fowler's commitment to love people and pursue excellence inspired the adoption of this profound paradigm shift in dementia care.
To become an I'm Still Here Center of Excellence, the Fowler team participated in a rigorous six-month on-site training and implementation program developed by the Hearthstone Institute. All team members in our memory car neighborhood, as well as many throughout our entire community, participated in training on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, communication techniques, and life enrichment. Additionally, our memory care team experienced imbedded training with the Hearthstone trainers who worked with them side by side, demonstrating techniques and providing encouragement and support in their daily work. This training has created a team of true Dementia Specialists here at Fowler, as well as a Dementia Friendly culture throughout our organization.

Juliette Fowler Communities offers a continuum of care with living options for people with wide-ranging needs from independent and assisted living to memory care and skilled nursing care and rehabilitation.
We're a five-star health and rehab community as measured by Nursing Home Compare. That means our ratings are much above average for inspections, staffing and quality. The U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services created the system to help people evaluate and choose rehab and nursing centers. Learn more about our rehab services.
You may need skilled nursing care for a limited time after an illness, injury or surgery and insurance will often help cover the costs if you've been hospitalized. Or you may need long-term residential care. Either way, Juliette Fowler can help.
As a skilled nursing resident, you'll be part of our nurturing neighborhood environment that surrounds you with encouragement and support. Choose a beautiful private studio or shared suite with granite and tile bathrooms, bright bay windows and access to landscaped courtyards. Housekeeping, laundry and all utilities are included.
Our Skilled Nursing team will provide around-the-clock care and help you with all of the activities of daily living. Fees start at $235 a day for shared and $267 for private and include three meals in our lovely dining rooms.

Rehabilitation
When life throws you a curve ball, short-term rehabilitation at Juliette Fowler Communities can help get things back on track quickly, safely and effectively.
After an illness, injury or surgery, our team of expert therapists is here to help. We'll work with you, your physician and loved ones to develop a customized plan of care that encompasses the whole person with physical, occupational, speech and language therapy. Together, we'll set goals that will help you rehabilitate, recuperate and return to the life you love.
