Independent Living is ideal for residents who prefer to live life on their terms, just like they always have. The biggest difference between this community and your home will be the wide variety of programs and activities to participate in if you so choose and our professional, compassionate staff who cares for many of your needs.
Residential Living is similar to Independent Living, except that residents have the option to receive extra support and assistance in their independent living apartment without the hassle of having to move to another level of care. These services include anything from extra housekeeping or laundry services to regular medication reminders and enhanced dining options.

Center launched to help families living with Alzheimer's and other Dementias
In February 2020, ERS announced the creation of the Center for Memory Support and Inclusion with the hiring of Shannon Braun as its Director. ERS, an innovator in providing care, support, and education for those living with cognitive loss, and their care partners, launched the Center to be the leading resource for the community it serves.
Braun will manage all of ERS memory support efforts, including the oversight of its living environments, therapies, and training programs for staff, along with its community outreach programs, under the umbrella of its new Center for Memory Support and Inclusion.
ERS is proud to launch our Center for Memory Support and Inclusion to support our neighbors in the city of Cincinnati, said Laura Lamb, President and CEO of ERS. This comprehensive approach to memory care is the first of its kind in the city, and we look forward to expanding our offerings to the other communities we serve in the future.
Considering her extensive experience, combined with the hands-on knowledge she earned as an early-stage program coordinator with the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati, we expect Shannon to be a wonderful leader of our Center for Memory Support & Inclusion, including the Dementia Inclusive Cincinnati movement where she's successfully created and hosted Memory Cafs throughout the city, said Lamb.
The launch of the Memory Support Center, and the expansion of Dementia Inclusive Cincinnati, is made possible by a recent $250,000 grant provided by the Sutphin Family Foundation and an individual donor. The grants will support individuals living with cognitive loss and their care partners where there is a gap in education, resources, and care options.
LONG-TERM CARE
magine a nursing home where residents receive the highest quality of care and are encouraged to take charge of their day and make their own decisions all delivered in a comfortable household setting.
That's what a nursing home should be. It's what ERS communities are.
The expertise of our caring, compassionate and well-trained staff, combined with our person-centered care philosophy, assures residents and their families they are in the most capable of hands.
Our high staff and resident satisfaction scores, low staff turnover nursing homes are innovative and on the cutting edge of technology. Deupree Cottages, for example, was one of only six American nursing homes recognized in the book Design for Aging: International Case Studies of Building and Program for being among those with excellent aged-care environments.
What's more, ERS was chosen as a regional pilot site by the Greater Cincinnati Hospital Council to develop electronic medical records transfer systems between hospitals and their nursing care centers.
MISSION
Mission & History
Since 1951, Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS) has worked to enrich the lives of older adults in a person-centered, innovative, and spiritually based way.
ERS began as the Memorial Homes Foundation serving 20 older women in a home in Clifton, near the University of Cincinnati. Today, ERS serves older adults through senior living communities, as well as in-home and community-based services. We accommodate all levels of care including:

Lee Retirement Community and Deupree House, located in the neighborhood of Hyde Park in Cincinnati, OH, and Episcopal Church Home, located in Louisville, KY. ERS also offers affordable housing options for seniors with low incomes in 25 communities throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
In addition to retirement communities, ERS provides services for seniors living in their own homes through Living Well Senior Solutions and Deupree Meals On Wheels. Parish Health Ministry coordinates a large network of churches to provide grassroots health-related services throughout southern Ohio. Core Values
