There’s a comforting rhythm here, one that soothes and engages, cares for and imparts joy. Surrounded by five acres of farmland that include a barn, lake and pastures, Apple Grove was built in 2009 and designed to look like a residential home, not a health care facility.

Locally owned and personally managed, Apple Grove assisted-living residence is solely dedicated to Memory Care. From our on-site chef who thoughtfully plans each meal for enjoyment as well as nutrition, to our on-site nurse who charts the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our residents, Apple Grove seeks to provide a healthy quality of life.

Our staff is specially trained to help reduce anxiety and provide support through compassion, love and laughter, and our activities are programmed to build confidence and foster independence. We create rewarding, satisfying daily experiences through Memory Care activities that stimulate the mind, body and soul.

Independently owned and operated by longtime Memphians, the Apple family, Apple Grove is the Mid-South's premier assisted-living Memory Care residence completely dedicated to Alzheimer's and dementia care. After years of experience to manage senior care facilities throughout the South, it was a personal experience with caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's that led Ed, with the support of his wife Mary Anne, to build Apple Grove on their own land.

At Apple Grove in Germantown, Memory Care is what we do. Our residents don't just live a quality life, they experience it. Every aspect of our residence is designed to provide a sense of individuality and well-being, and to enrich the emotional lives of those in our care suffering from Alzheimer's, dementia or memory loss.  

Located on five acres of scenic land, Apple Grove was designed and built to look and feel like a residential home. Great care is taken to make residents feel comfortable and at home.

Common areas are filled with a mix of familiar decor and antiques, and personal items and mementos decorate common and private rooms. Our floor plan offers something for everyone from small nooks for quiet times to larger sitting areas for family visits, and a lake room and screened-in porch for serene views. Every detail of the residence is designed to accommodate the special lifestyle needs of our Alzheimer's and dementia residents.

Day care & respite care

With one in four families caring for a senior relative, caregiving is a common daily routine in many people’s lives. As rewarding as it is, this routine can at times be emotionally draining and physically exhausting, particularly when caring for someone suffering from a chronic illness such as Alzheimer's or dementia.

So where do you turn when, as a caregiver, you need some care too Family, always. Friends, certainly. But sometimes these lifelines of comfort and support can't always be there. We understand and that’s where we can help through our day care and respite stay offerings 24/7, seven days a week.

Much more than a drop-off, Apple Grove is an uplift for our day care participants.

Whether your family member visits us on a daily basis or only on occasion, he or she enjoys the same Memory Care amenities as our full-time residents, including:
