I love how clean the place is no odors. When Sheila called for assistance someone was there. I visit at least once a week and have never seen her dirty or complain about anything, Thank you.

I cannot recommend this facility based on my recent stay. The management urgently needs to address severe understaffing, as having one nurse assigned to 25 patients is unsafe and violates reasonable nurse-to-patient ratios.<br>The care and environment fell short in almost every area:<br>Safety & Hygiene: I found black mold in the bathroom, presenting an obvious health hazard.<br>Delayed Care: Call bell wait times routinely ranged from 30 to 45 minutes.<br>Medication Concerns: Nurses seemed unfamiliar with the medications they were administering and frequently had to leave to check charts before giving them to me.<br>Dietary Failures: The food was below standard. When items were removed due to documented food allergies, they were never replaced, leaving me without proper meals.<br>Lack of Professionalism: Staff members were extremely loud during the early morning hours, laughing and disruption patients trying to sleep.<br>The entire team needs comprehensive retraining on patient dignity and respect. The only positive aspect of my stay was the physical therapy department—those therapists were compassionate, attentive, and genuinely cared about my rehabilitation. Otherwise, management must step up immediately.

Smells really bad. When you go into the wards, all you can smell are soiled diapers and pads. Its awful<br><br>The building needs a lot of upkeep, holes in walls that were never filled, wallpaper pealing... bedside carts that are falling apart.<br><br>Was told don't drink the limeade at the entrance because its been there multiple days with no ice.<br><br>Its sad, these people living here deserve better attention and surroundings. Needs to be subsidy for more staff and upkeep. It shouldn't smell or look this bad

Just extremely rude phone service. No one seems happy to help or answer you even if you’re using your own manners. No one seems to know where any one else is. Unprofessional and unpleasant. Get better phone etiquette and treat your patients and visitors like real human beings!

My mother has completed another stay at York North the concern and comfort provided to her exceeded expectations. Thank you All, especially Eric, Renee, Ashlee and the OT staff.
