Family experiences at the center are notably mixed. Some describe staff as caring and attentive, with one family writing that their brother "was always shown great care and kindness." However, multiple families report serious concerns: inadequate communication accommodations for hearing-impaired residents (creating potential ADA violations), inconsistent staff behavior ranging from kind to dismissive, and repeated complaints about food quality, cold temperatures, small portions, and freezer-burnt vegetables appear frequently. One family also reported a fall incident where a resident remained on the floor overnight without assistance, raising safety questions.

While cleanliness and staff availability have been noted positively by some, accessibility failures and care inconsistency emerge as persistent themes warranting careful consideration before placement.

My brother is currently there and a staff there is uncaring. He fell out of bed in the middle of the night and they left them on the floor all night long and told him that he needed to be careful when he got out of bed and still left him on the floor. This is unacceptable. He has had four strokes and is learning how to walk and be mobile again. But you leave him on the floor all night and it being cold is unacceptable.

I left a one star review because while entering this facility I seen a staff member named Nhadiah i believe thats the name i seen on the badge that day . She was very rude and gave me an attitude when I came to deliver a pizza, she was telling me rudely to just leave it if paid. Her attitude towards me was highly unacceptable . I know I was a delivery driver but that doesn’t mean people who think they are in a higher position can disrespect others from outside especially if I’m coming into a nursing home seeing the well being of other elderly people.

Woonsocket Health Center is a wonderful, kind and caring facility. The staff are absolutely wonderful. I cannot express the great care and kindness my brother was always shown during his stay there. I would definitely recommend this facility for long term care to anyone. They are truly amazing people. The facility is always very clean and fresh. I never once had difficulty finding a staff member, they were always available, helpful and always friendly. I'm so thankful for all of them and the wonderful residents I met along the way.

Nice rooms somewhat clean. Staff mostly are friendly but the food is absolutely atrocious. And I eat almost anything. And it is always cold. Portion sizes are smaller than frozen smart meal. Vegetables are freezer burnt. This is a current update... I was treated poorly and was lied to every day. Staff is disingenuous and I was forced out due to a severe migraine condition and not allowed to return. The best part is the bed and air conditioner In room. But otherwise STAY CLEAR.. there are plenty other rehab facilities in Woonsocket

Some nurses are nice and do what they can; hence the 2 stars, but this has fallen down on ADA obligations. No phones for the hearing impaired, which would pretty much be everyone. Mom has been here for 4 weeks and still has no way to have effective communication with family out of the area. Next step is for me to open a complaint with the ADA for discrimination against the disabled. Food is not very good either. Most of the time it's cold and tasteless. Update: the director of infrastructure; and the owner of the place came to my mom's room to personally meet her and assure her they would provide her with an adequate phone for her needs. Apparently, my multiple requests over the past 4 weeks never made it past the floor or social worker. The director ordered one and it will be installed in 2 days. I was pretty impressed by this, so I added a star. I'm still looking to have her transferred due to other issues, but this personal attention was very much appreciated. The PT drill sergeant doesn't work well for mom. she isn't into an 8am roll to the gym, just to be left sitting in her chair for hours until it's her turn. It's too painful, which they don't seem to care about. She's gone downhill physically since being there. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing when it comes to medications either. they either missed medications that she was taking at home, or the list says to give her something but the nurses don't give it to her, or they say they've given it to her but they haven't really done so. my mom is actually worse there than she was at home. she has declined dramatically since being there.
