Yes they take care of their patients. But g-d forbid you want to call and talk to your family member in their care. They do not have phones on the rooms and will leave you on hold only to have the call end without ever speaking to your loved ones. After calling mutple times and being on hold for ever only for the phone to hang up. Mind you these patients of theirs only want to hear from their family and their family cant even contact them.

They need to replace the person who answered this 24 hour line a few nights ago. The phone rang endlessly, an annoyed voice FINALLY answered, sounding very put out. Tried to inquire about my mother, who had not been feeling well earlier, promised to check ~ hung up. Nothing! So I called back, again the phone rang and rang, then disconnected. I kept calling back and this woman was disconnecting the call over and over. This went on almost an hour. This was my review back in August of 2025 and they responded below (see their comments). But things got real bad before her stay ended at Woodstock Valley Health & Rehab. After being there only a week and a half, my mother started with a cough that quickly grew worse. She ended up with pneumonia and was finally rushed to * ER with an oxygen level of 66 and a temp. of 101.7. She was so ill, the doctor gave her a 50/50 chance of making it. *I had to intervene and have her removed from that place. They failed to give her proper care and attention which is probably the reason they have so many negative reviews. Oh you won't find them on this site, but keep looking! They changed their name from Consulate Health Care. Her whole life has changed since being in that facility. She will never returned to her home again so after a brave attempt at rehabilitation, it was obvious, the damage has been done. So it's a new year and she will be in LTC for the rest of her days. NOTE: Woodstock Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Woodstock, VA, frequently associated with Consulate Health Care, has a "much below average" overall rating from Medicare, with low ratings for staffing and health inspections. I had to visit this facility this week, the staff was Wonderful, the staff was very helpful and polite. It didn't have that nursing home smell to it and the residents looked like they were having fun, they were in the dining room bowling.
