We took 2 tours and during both tours we were asked how old our family member is and both times we told them their age. The second time we toured, my family member came with us and decided she liked the facility and wanted the last room available. We left with my family member stating to the assistant director that we wanted the room and was going to send In the application. By the time we got home (approx 40 mins) we had received a voice-mail stating my family member wasn't welcome because they're too young; their policy is 70 years or older. I understand having policies in place that's not my issue. My issue is that it would've been professional to tell us while we are there instead of calling us after we leave the facility( the assistant director gave is the tour... she should know her own facilities age policy, yet norhing was said to us. They wasted our time not once but twice by not telling us they had an age requirement. Now we are back to square one trying to find a place for my family member to have a home. I find these actions Unprofessional. We are very very very disappointed with how we were treated.
