During my visit with my mother, I was extremely concerned by the condition of the facility. I witnessed numerous bugs and cockroaches throughout the building, which was completely unacceptable in any healthcare or residential setting. Seeing pests in an environment where vulnerable individuals live was alarming and made me question the cleanliness, sanitation practices, and level of oversight from management.

A facility entrusted with caring for people’s loved ones should provide a safe, clean, and respectful environment. Unfortunately, what I observed was the opposite. The combination of poor management, high employee turnover, and serious sanitation concerns created an atmosphere that felt neglected and poorly maintained. Families deserve better than having to worry about whether their loved ones are being cared for in a facility that cannot maintain basic standards.

Our experience in the Memory Care unit was profoundly disheartening from beginning to end. The pervasive negligence, chronic lack of vigilance, and apparent complacency created an environment where preventable falls, unexplained bruising, and recurring lapses in care became disturbingly commonplace. Rather than demonstrating compassion, accountability, and meticulous attention to residents’ well-being, staff frequently appeared to prioritize expedience over excellence, relying on shortcuts that fundamentally compromised both safety and dignity. Entrusting a loved one to their care should inspire confidence, yet our experience instead left us with profound disappointment and an enduring sense that the welfare of vulnerable residents was treated as an afterthought.

If you are considering Woodland Terrace for a loved one, especially someone who requires Memory Care or Assisted Living, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

Our experience was nothing short of heartbreaking. Management was unresponsive, communication was poor, and the constant staff turnover made it nearly impossible to have any confidence in the consistency of care being provided. We never felt that our concerns were taken seriously.

The Memory Care unit was the most disappointing part of our experience. When our loved one needed additional assistance, we expected guidance and support. Instead, we were handed a list of third-party referral phone numbers and essentially left to figure everything out on our own. For a facility that advertises Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, the lack of support during one of the most difficult transitions a family can face was deeply upsetting.

The condition of the building also raised serious concerns. During our time there, we observed mold on the ceilings and cockroaches in the facility. That is not the level of cleanliness or maintenance anyone should expect in a place caring for vulnerable seniors.

Choosing a care facility is one of the most important decisions a family will ever make. Based on our experience, I would not trust Woodland Terrace with the care of someone I love. There are facilities that provide compassionate care, clear communication, and a clean, well-maintained environment. In our experience, this was not one of them.

My advice to other families is simple: do your research, ask difficult questions, tour multiple facilities, and don't let marketing materials make the decision for you. We wish we had. I hope sharing our experience helps another family avoid the stress, disappointment, and emotional hardship that we went through.

We have had an amazing experience so far with Woodland Terrace. From my first contact with Armondo, they have been above and beyond what we experienced everywhere else we toured. This was such a difficult decision for my dad and I, but we needed to keep my mom safe and cared for when we no longer could. Armondo was so patient and knowledgeable. He responded quickly to emails and calls. It's clear he is passionate about what he does. Yuvi then made the transition process as smooth as it could be. I imagine it is never easy, but he has reassuring and communicative through the process, and everyone has been very supportive. Now, my mom is enjoying singing and dancing with her neighbors and I could not feel better about our decision. It's clear the entire team, from leasing to the care team to the front desk personal, are genuinely kind and compassionate people.

Attended the Mother's Day Party. My wife and I had a good time. Appreciate the effort it takes to add special events to Memory Care. The staff is exceptional.
