A Letter of Thanks
August 18, 2026
As we enter our third year at Wooddale Village, we want to express how truly grateful we are
for the wonderful staff and the welcoming community you have created for us.
Wooddale has given us a beautiful, comfortable environment that feels much like a college
campus, with lovely grounds, trees, grass, swimming pools, fountains, and nearly a mile of
walking paths. These surroundings allow us to continue enjoying an active and independent
lifestyle while also having valuable services available as we age.
Our apartment feels like a condo, giving us privacy and the ability to come and go as we
please. At the same time, we can enjoy the dining hall, activity rooms, workout rooms, library,
and bistro with coffee, tea, and ice water.
We also appreciate the many conveniences available to residents. The Sun City area is close
to Union Hills and 99th Avenue, and Wooddale helps residents stay connected to the
surrounding community through transportation and outings. Bus service to activities,
shopping, Safeway, Fry's, Walmart, Kohl's, and other destinations makes it easier to take care
of personal needs while remaining independent.
Most importantly, the staff always makes us feel welcome. Residents are encouraged to share
in activities if interested, yet our privacy and independence are respected. Knowing that
24-hour security is available gives us peace of mind, and it is reassuring to know that
additional support can be arranged when needed, including meal delivery, healthcare
services, physical therapy, housekeeping, companionship, and other caregiving assistance.
Our family is always welcome to visit, share a meal with us, and see firsthand the environment
in which we live. They can feel confident that we are in excellent hands.
We are also thankful for the friendships we have made here. Some residents have been at
Wooddale for more than ten years and generously share their wisdom and experiences with
us. Whether it is morning exercise, breakfast together, cards and board games, or visits from
our family, we have been able to continue creating meaningful memories.
A caregiving agency is also available on campus to accommodate individual needs, including
hygiene assistance, additional housekeeping, and companionship. It is comforting to know
those services are available if and when they are needed.Wooddale Village has truly become a place we are thankful to call home. Thank you to the
staff, residents, and everyone who works each day to make this community such a warm,
safe, and caring place to live. We are grateful for the opportunity to age here with
independence, dignity, friendship, and grace.
With heartfelt thanks,
Jim and Marie
