I enjoyed being at this location after my hospital stay for therpay. Received excellent care and attention from the nursing staff and therapy department especially Von the PTA. The food was great as well. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL! Activities led by Chris and Sam were great they really get the patients going. Shootout to some of the nurses and cna's: Ladasha, Kaylyn, Chantel, Claudia, Ky, and Yvonne. Shootout to Joyce in housekeeping really kept room clean and fresh. Shout to James in Admissions for helping me transition into the facility and being a really nice person. Hope im not missing anyone but Generally the whole staff was great and a great place for therapy services.

The staff at Windcrest are so kind and attentive. The facility is warm and welcoming, Our Abundant patients are well cared for, and we’re very grateful for the peace of mind this community gives our patients and families, Thank you especially to James, Chris, and Andrea for always taking the time to visit with with our staff!!!

My experience with Wincrest Nursing and Rehab in Windcrest, Texas, was extremely disappointing. During my client’s stay, she was left in bed and not given a shower for five days. She didn’t have access to her own clothes and had to remain in a hospital gown and brace. I called ahead to let them know I would be picking her up at 4:00 pm, yet when I arrived, she was still in bed wearing the gown. It then took them over an hour to get her up, dressed, and to the restroom so I could bring her home. Throughout this, the CNA seemed unaware of the situation, or it appeared there simply wasn’t enough staff to provide proper care. Most troubling, my client requested showers and was denied. Overall, the lack of communication, dignity, and basic care was unacceptable. Families entrust facilities like this with their loved ones, and this experience fell far short of what anyone should expect.

I would like to say "Thank You" on behalf of myself and my family to the Windcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation facility of San Antonio. Our family member was a resident there for four months. We were very pleased with the care and comfort provided for our loved one, until their very last day of life. We were there on a daily bases to visit with our loved one, we would watch movies and had memorable conversations. Our loved one was very cared for and had the support of family and friends. Though they mostly rested, on good days they spent it in the activities area with facility staff or in the garden area with family. We had the pleasure of having some amazing nurses (Natasha & Kamara) and many others care for our loved one. They were always ready to provide us daily details of how our loved ones day and meal times went. We never thought we would go through this experience and could not have done this alone. We are grateful for the attention, care and kindness provided to our loved one by the nursing and office staff at Windcrest along with the Holy Savior Hospice Care team.

God is good! After a bad experience at another nursing home , God led us to this one. Mom is so happy again. The staff is shorthanded at times but I have to admit, I have yet to find mom disheveled or have dirty pull up. What a big difference. I thank my Lord for helping us find this place. I would highly recommend this place. There are some bad places out there ya'll. These people care for the residents. The only time I have felt a little frustrated is when staff is out sick, they contract the job out so the nurse on the floor could be her first time in the facility. I understand people get sick but I suppose that's better then not having anyone cover. All in all , I give it a 5 star. Thank you Windcrest for the compassion you show my mom.
