I spent 2 months at the facility in September and October 2024. I was suffering both mental and physical issues following a severe knee injury. Cole the counselor was my favorite. He motivated me in many ways and really got me going for physical traing every morning. Mike the Physical Therapist was inspiring and pushed me to improve. The Nurses and various supprt staff are exceptional and caring. Special thanks to Hope who motivated me to attend the afternoon adult activities and acclimate into the community. The entire staff was respectful to myself and my wife who visited a few weekends. Tom G.

I can’t say enough about the care and resources Westview provides. From the office staff to the nursing staff. During my stay PT/OT staff made sure I was prepared to discharge home safely. Nurses & CNA staff on AM/PM are exceptional. NOC shift needs more Preston’s. I found several female staff that seemed bothered to answer call lights in a timely fashion & were a bit rude. Overall, staff is fabulous.

Had a great experience overall. Westview was clean and comfortable. Cannot say enough about the exceptional staff. Caring and helpful, always watching out for my well being. Entire staff was warm and pleasant, always supportive. PT staff excellent, Ishmael and Lindsey were such a great help in my recovery rebuilding my strength and working back to my former independence. Lynda, my CVM was amazing, always there, helpful and positive... and funny! She made such a difference in my stay. This was my first rehab experience; highly recommend the Westview team. Thanks for all your help!

They did not flush my IV for three days. It is supposed to be flushed every day. I had to be rushed to the emergency hospital because they failed to notice that my legs were 3° different and temperature. The food was horrible. The only thing I could eat was oatmeal and cold cereal.

I strongly advise avoiding Westview Healthcare Center. If you have a loved one here, ensure they are getting proper care, and consider moving them if possible. This facility is severely understaffed, and the staff that is there is rude and inattentive. They seem more focused on their phones than on patient care. It is especially unsuitable for elderly and vulnerable patients, and mixing mental health patients with elderly residents is unsafe. My 86-year-old grandmother was transferred to Westview on December 15, 2024, against her wishes. Despite her clear request to stay at Oakland Kaiser for another night, she was moved two hours away to Auburn. Upon arrival, the front desk was empty, and EMTs were left to wander the facility. A staff member named Danielle eventually assisted us but expressed dissatisfaction with her job, which added to my anxiety. The room was appalling. The food was cold and had been sitting out for hours, the room was dirty with trash and blood stains, and the thermostat didn’t work, leaving the room freezing. No one checked on my grandmother overnight, even though she needed constant oxygen monitoring and inhaler treatments. The night was full of unsettling noises from other residents, and I had to check her oxygen levels myself. When I raised my concerns with the staff, particularly a nurse named Princess, she seemed uninterested. A manager tried to pressure my grandmother into signing paperwork under duress, but I stopped her. By morning, my grandmother was begging to leave, and it was clear she might not have survived if I had left her there. This traumatic experience left me mentally and emotionally drained, and I’m still recovering from the stress. I filed a complaint with the facility, but they were unable to substantiate my claims. It’s troubling that staff like Danielle and George, who showed genuine care, are in a place where they can’t make a difference. I urge anyone who cares about their loved ones to stay away from Westview Healthcare Center.
