This is my fifth visit to a rehab rehabilitation center after leaving hospital for complication due to SCI surgery. I think Shepherd in Atlanta, Georgia the best but they are a class own.my number two WELLBRIDGE OF GRAND BLANC. The facility is very well kept cleaned inside and out spotless the yard as well maintain the people are very friendly so when I walked through the door, I felt quite comfortably first day walking in no problem no issue I feel like I was welcome the rest of them I won’t mention them here, cause the best I would give them would be three stars.

My mother unfortunately was sent here from McLaren after having a stroke for rehabilitation therapy. When she was supposed to have “therapy “. What they really did was say my mother was wheel chair bound and never worked with her for the two weeks she was there. The nurses are poorly trained. We never saw them. I had to ask for them to take my mother vitals over and over again till they started doing it themselves. My mother is on Tylenol 3 with codeine and they told me they were also giving my mom regular tylonel with her pain medication. You can’t give both. It could damage your liver. The day my mother was discharged. She was having a stroke and the nurse put my mother in the car and had no concern of my mother’s symptoms. We had to call an ambulance as soon as we got home. Also when my mother was discharged the nurse didn’t even know my mothers name or what medications she had been taking for the two weeks she was their. The nurse tried giving me someone else’s discharge paperwork and I had to bring it to her attention that she was giving the wrong discharge instructions. The food that was served to my mother I wouldn’t even feed it to a dog. The food is bland, ice cold, and the meat was so tuff a dog couldn’t chew it. There was no area for patients to lounge and get to know everyone. When my mother had a drs appointment with her primary care doctor they were very non accommodating. They insisted my mother had to see there Dr but my mother never had the chance to ever see their “Dr “ on staff. My mother had lots of expensive clothes and when she came home half of them were gone. They had a “progress meeting”. With my mother and my family. They never once told me that they were not giving my mom physical therapy and that they determined she was wheel chair bound. The social worker was at this meeting and when my family and I talked with him he made all sorts of promises to help us with getting my mother medicaid and other assistance after her stay. Let’s just say I called and left many messages on his voicemail to call me back and he never followed through with anything. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I feel horrible that people have to live their full time. My mother was discharged in worse shape then the condition she was in at the hospital. Please reconsider putting your loved one into the care of this facility and find someplace else. Thanks for reading my review Now after reading other reviews I realize I’m not the only one with these experiences. I see that wellbridge like always gives promises that they do not keep. It’s funny that they say that people have brought these experiences to their attention but yet they do nothing about it. This place needs a full investigation about their quality of care with their patients. I’ll make sure to write the state

They are nice to your face then totally ignore you. My father was there for three weeks, when I brought him home today his bedsore was a stage 2. Now it’s super infected and that’s not the worst part there was a tiny scab on his right knee and they obviously put a bandage on it and never addressed it after that and now is so infected it’s oozing and I’m back in the ER right now. DO NOT TRUST THEM

I have been a resident at Wellbridge GB for close to 3 years. The building is beautiful and clean and my visitors say it resembles a high end hotel. The employees feel more like family than caregivers. The nurses and CNA’s take incredible care of the residents as if they were taking care of their favorite grandma. There are lots of activities and entertainment. I would feel safe leaving my 91 year old mom here. Thank you for taking care of me.
