Everyone is very nice, but there is one lady she work in the kitchen is very disrespectful. Everyone is nice just on the one lady in the kitchen. I don’t know about the name. She’s very bad.

Spent 5 nights visiting parents at Weatherly Inn and can't say enough good things about all the staff and facilities. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful when we needed them and facilities were exceptionally clean, with many peaceful areas, yet also places to congregate and play a game and/or watch TV. Food is excellent as well!

Chef Paul has outdone himself again! Such fresh bread. Delicious veggies. Tender meat all in the Bahn Mi sandwich. My mom and all that visit her are being spoiled by the food!

At Weatherly Inn Renton, we have found all three.<br><br>Like many families, we approached this decision with both hope and worry. You want to get it right for someone you love. For our family, Weatherly Inn Renton has become a place where life continues with warmth, celebration, and connection.<br><br>When we began looking for a senior living community for my 90-year-old mother, we visited 14 different places. We were determined to find a place that felt like a true home, not merely a facility. The moment we encountered Weatherly Inn Renton, it stood apart.<br><br>One of the first questions the team asked us was how involved we planned to be as family members and how often we expected to visit. That question told us a great deal. They were not simply admitting a resident. They were welcoming a family.<br><br>After her first week, my mother said something that made us smile: “It's better than family.” That may sound like an exaggeration, but it captures the spirit of the place.<br><br>Weatherly Inn Renton feels less like a typical senior community and more like a gracious home. The building is beautifully decorated with antiques and classic furnishings. My mother has a one-bedroom apartment she loves, with a wonderful view.<br><br>The hallways are wide and filled with natural light, with many places to sit, talk, read, or play a game. There is a library, tea room, activities room, theater space, conference room, and an elegant dining room that feels both modern and timeless. Electric fireplaces inside and out are a cozy invitation to gather.<br><br>Outside, a beautiful courtyard and patio are surrounded by landscaping that changes through the seasons. It is peaceful and uplifting.<br><br>The culture is something special. Residents greet each other warmly, families quickly get to know one another, and the staff consistently bring kindness, attentiveness, and good humor to their work. The tone throughout the building is one of reassurance and respect.<br><br>My husband and I eat there about twice a week with Mom. The menu is diverse, the food is consistently excellent, and the dining team bring warmth and energy to every meal.<br><br>Weatherly Inn Renton also hosts wonderful celebrations throughout the year that families can attend with residents. In 2025 these included a Valentine's dinner, Easter brunch, Mother's Day brunch, Father's Day brunch, a Fourth of July celebration, a classic car show, Portraits with Your Pups day, Thanksgiving dinner, and Christmas dinner.<br><br>One example says it best: this year's Valentine's Eve “Sweetheart Dinner.” Here is a shortened version of the note I sent to their culinary director--<br><br>“Chef Paul,<br>You didn't simply produce a meal. You created an experience.<br>Candlelit tables, vintage music, and three beautifully plated courses transformed the dining room into something that felt more like a wedding reception or a grand family reunion.<br><br>Mom later said it reminded her of the supper clubs of the 1950s and 60s, one of the happiest eras of her life.<br><br>You didn't just serve dinner. You unlocked memory. You created joy.”<br><br>Equally important is the care. My mother regularly praises the nursing staff, and I have personally seen the thoughtful way they anticipate and respond to her needs.<br><br>Even before she moved in, the team helped us share videos and information so Mom could confidently choose the community from out of state. Her move-in was smooth and welcoming. They even catered a lovely tea party to celebrate her 90th birthday shortly after she arrived.
