Resident was refused the right to go to the bathroom this evening. Same CNA/nurses she’s had trouble with before. Disgusting that a CNA would tell a resident ‘no’ when they put their call light on to go to the bathroom. This places was digesting 20 years ago and doesn’t look like it’s made any improvement since!

Please do not put your family member here if you care about them, cause they sure as heck don’t care about your family member. The place itself looks atrocious, the whole place smells like raw sewage because their septic system has such bad leaks under the building that they have to pump it into their rainwater drains that lead over to the church across the road from them. Real giving neighbors, huh. The administrator is a power hungry lady on psych meds doesnt know that shes talking about half the time and can’t even make it up the hall without sounding like she just finished a marathon. And then you have the directors of nursing who won’t discipline their nursing staff when they mess up cause they’re too scared that they’re gonna be short staffed. So you got nurses knowingly giving people the wrong medication tell the resident that it’s their right medication. This place is just fundamentally bad. Is that really the environment you want your beloved family member living in?

My mother spent her last 7 months at The Waters. I cannot say enough about the wonderful care she received. The administration, the nurses, the CNAs, all truly exceptional. They treated my mother with such care and dignity. They never failed to address any concerns or answer any questions we had. We were so very thankful that we found a place that my mother was comfortable in and that we could trust with her care. I cannot thank them enough!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I am a nurse with forty years experience, with seven of those in long term care. I have had two siblings in long term care, and know the heartache of leaving a loved one in a facility. Post Covid, the medical world is a different environment and not always for the better. From day one, the staff have been caring and attentive. Someone always answered the phone and our concerns were always addressed. On day one, Theresa from the business office answered all of my questions. She was compassionate and took the time to get to know our situation. She helped us to navigate the Medicaid labyrinth which can be a nightmare. My brother is happy, and feels like he is home. When we leave him, its nice to know that his needs are met and he is treated with respect. There was NO odor and the residents were all clean with their hair brushed. This may not seem like much, but it is huge. To anyone having to make the heart-wrenching decision to place a loved one, I wish I could talk to you in person. I sat on the porch today filling out paper work. I watched the staff bring residents outside. The staff were all smiling. In fact everyone I saw today smiled.

My mother was a resident here until her passing earlier this year. The Waters of Sullivan took excellent care of her. They were kind, compassionate, and caring. They treated her with dignity and respect. We cannot thank them enough for everything that they done for her and for us.
